What you will need?

So heres what you will need for running Android 4.4 on a windows computer.

1. Oracle VirtualBox2. Android 4.4 KitKat ISO imagefromAndroid-X86.orgHow to Install Android 4.4 KitKat on Windows using VirtualBox

Once you have downloaded both of the above prerequisites, you can install VirtualBox on your PC and then follow the instructions below to install android 4.4 KitKat on windows.

Step 1:Run Oracle VirtualBox.

Step 2:Click on theNewbutton.

Step 3:Type in a name for the virtual box and select thesettingsas shown below.

Step 4:Select a memory size.

Step 5:SelectCreate a virtual hard drive.

Step 6:SelectVDI ( Virtualbox Disk Image ).

Step 7:Select Fixed size for storage space.

Step 8:Set the storage space forthe VDI.

Step 9:Right click on Android 4.4 virtual machine and select Start.

Step 10:When the Virtual machine starts, it will prompt you to selectthe Android4.4 ISO image.

Step 11:Click on the small box icon and selectthe Android4.4 ISO image and then Click on the Start button.

Step 12:SelectInstall Android -X86 to harddisk.

Step 13:SelectCreate / modify partitions.

Step 14:SelectNew.

Step 15:SelectPrimary.

Step 16:Let the storage space be as it is and press enter.

Step 17:SelectWrite.

Step 18:Type Yes and then press enter.

Step 19:SelectQuitand press enter.

Step 20:Select theSda1 linux partitionand select OK.

Step 21:Selectext3 filesystem.

Step 22:SelectYesand press enter to format Sda1 to ext3 filesystem.

Step 23:SelectYeswhen prompted to install the Grub bootloader.

Step 24:SelectYesto make System directory as read-write enabled.

Step 25:SelectRebootwhen Android 4.4 KitKat issuccessfullyinstalled.

Step 26:SelectDevices > CD / DVDdevices and deselectthe android4.4 ISO image. (IMPORTANT)

Step 27:SelectMachine > Closeand selectPower offthe machine and click on OK.

Step 28:Right click onthe Android4.4 virtual machine and selectsStart.

Step 29:SelectAndroid-x86 4.4-RC1and press enter.

There you go Android 4.4 will start booting in the virtual machine. Enter all the details required and you should be able to use Android 4.4 KitKat on your windows PC. If you cant use your your mouse in the virtual machine, then you should click onMachine > Disable Mouse Integrationandthen click on the virtual machine.
