LocationLocated in the Baa Atoll, Kunfunadhoo Island is one of the largest islands in the Maldives. The resort can be reached by a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight direct from Malé International Airport or a 12-minute speedboat ride for guests scheduled on domestic flights at the nearby Dharavandhoo Airport. Soneva Fushi has a private airport lounge exclusively for Soneva guests at the seaplane terminal.

StayThe resort features 62 private villas with their own stretch of pristine beach. Designed to offer ultimate privacy and a pure connection with nature, each retreat features open-air bathrooms that extend into a private garden.

Fresh in the Garden by Sobah Surrounded by tropical banana trees, this restaurant without walls rises above our herb and vegetable garden, with sublime panoramas stretching as far as the eye can see.

Dinner: 18:30 to 22:30 every night except Mondays and Fridays Mihiree Mitha Translating to ‘here it is’, this is the culinary heart of the island, featuring an endless spread of fresh fruits, live cooking stations, freshly caught and grilled-to-order fish and a collection of Asian dishes and Maldivian specialties. The wood-fired oven offers freshly baked pizzas. Guests can design their own pizza by choosing from the choice of toppings.

Snorkel with Manta RaysSnorkel the Baa Atoll in search of Manta Rays in Hanifaru Bay, which has one of the world’s largest populations of Manta Rays. Conditions permitting, fortunate guests might get to see hundreds of Mantas as they gorge themselves on plankton. There are several locations where Mantas can be spotted, so the itinerary may vary. If there are no Mantas, our Marine Biologist will take you to another beautiful snorkelling spot.

Private Sandbank Overnight ExperienceSpend a romantic night camping under the Maldivian skies on your own private sandbank in a luxurious Bedouin-style tent, which even comes with its own water closet. Eco-Friendly SurfingDiscover less charted and secret surf breaks in the Baa Atoll accompanied with our experienced surf instructor/guides. All surf breaks are accessible within a 5 - 35 minute speedboat ride. Surf season is dependent on Mother Nature’s mood though it does peak from May - September. Waves range from waist to head high. All equipment is eco-friendly and made from recycled waste making us the first fully sustainable surfing program in the world.
