(Hair, make up and costume)

Ombre hair, winged eyeliner and red lips are three things that I really would like to stand out in my magazine. I think it is something that really fits with my target audience and something that also fits with the style of music that my magazine is going to be based on. These things are also very popular at the moment so they will fit very well in my magazine as they would interest the reader and draw them into my magazine. I am aiming for my costume to be really casual and laid back because I think that fits best with my target audience.

HairAs I’ve already said I think ombre hair would fit really well with my magazine but id also like to have models with varied hairstyles and colours so that the magazine is suitable and relevant for everyone to read and also so that it can inspire them to change their hairstyles etc to the styles my models will have. To do this I am taking inspiration from celebrities such as Alexa Chung, Beyonce, Alex Turner and Ed Sheeran.

Make up

I would like my models to have a 50’s/60’s feel to their make up, things like winged liner and red lips as I’ve already said are a big statement for my magazine. I am inspired by celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, twiggy and Audrey Hepburn who I feel bring across the look I am looking for so using them as inspiration makes it easier to get a feel of how my models will look on my magazine cover because I think it is a very bold make up look that really stands out and also comes across amazingly on the front cover as I’ve already seen on old magazine covers which these celebrities are included in which is why I am inspired to go for this make up look.

CostumeA main part of my magazine is how casual it is, to make this more obvious to the reader I am going to have my models wearing really chilled clothes. Things such as denim, vans and slouchy tops are only few things that id like to include in my magazine. I have gotten inspiration from tumblr, Alexa Chung and Jake Bugg to go for this look and I think it will work really well and connect with my readers.
