Guy Engineering is active in the re-use of salvaged beams for county projects. Ms. Guy has acquired considerable experience in the design of roadways and bridges. GUY has performed field inspections, rating computations and data management of off-system bridges since 1991. Our Program Manager is a professional engineer registered in the state of Oklahoma, is knowledgeable in the field of bridge inspection, and is actively participating in ODOT QC/QA training. We currently have 8 people on our Safety Inspection Team; all but three have completed the two-week NHI Course No. 130055 (Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges); four qualify as Team Leaders. We have additional personnel scheduled to become Team Leaders in the coming year to assist with the workload. Guy Engineering performs bridge inspections in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards, the ODOT PONTIS Manual, the FHWA Manual "Recording and Coding Guide for the Structure Inventory and Appraisal of the Nation's Bridges", latest edition of the "AASHTO Manual for Condition Evaluation of Bridges", and ODOT policies. Aaron Peck, P.E., Julie Guy, P.E. and Steve Bolin successfully completed the NHI Fracture Critical Bridges course. We currently inspect approximately 1,200 bridges. We have a congenial relationship with Divisions 8 and 3 county bridge departments as well and the counties and cities we serve. Currently, we are charged with Load Postings in Ottawa, Osage and Mayes Counties.
