By the end of March 2017, the Government of India operationalized the provisions of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 (IBC) relating to corporate insolvency. Most institutions part of the new eco system became functional and filing of insolvency applications started. The enactment of the IBC has finally paved way for introduction of the much-needed modern framework to deal with insolvency of corporate entities.
