Insights Into Technology If I havent already told, our Great Lakes Enclosure are the best cabinets in the industry. I know, you like your cabinets, but you can do better with GLs in- dustry leading manufacturing, quality and lead time. Take a brief tour of our ES Series Enclosures and learn why they are so well engineered and built in this brief video Ive included this month. Watch it now by going to revco- inc.com/videos and look for the Insights Into Technologyvideos. 5 Road Trip Hacks Want to get one last road trip in before the summer ends? Here are road trip hacks to keep your ride comfortable and entertaining –even in traffic and boring scenery. 1) Pack Road Trip Gifts. Cure boredom by giving your kids wrapped gifts to open every hour or so. Wrap toys they forgot they had, snacks, and items you were planning to bring anyway. A few ideas: window crayons, DVDs, activity games (you can print out from Pinterest), Mad Libs, and cookies. 2) Listen to books. You can pick up books on CD from the library or if you are in states with Cracker Barrel Restaurants you can pick up a book on CD and drop it off at the next Cracker Barrel along the road. 3) Eat in the car. Part of road trip fun is snacking in the car –and it keeps kids and adults alike from getting crabby. Snacks also keep kids entertained and make the trip go faster. Rather than stopping at gas stations and loading up on junk, pack healthy snacks before you go. Apples, pomegranate seeds, carrots, granola, string cheese, grapes, al- monds, popcorn and graham crackers are a few ideas. 4) Create a laminated map. Are we there yet? To keep kids from torturing you with that phrase, print out a map of your route and use a highlighter to outline your route. Write landmarks along the route and laminate it. Then give the laminated maps to your kids along with a dry erase marker. Make it into a scavenger hunt for all the landmarks along the way. 5) Think ahead to reduce or eliminate messes. Use Glad Press and Seal Cling Wrap for a makeshift lid on glasses. Stick a straw through the cling wrap. Kid friendly trays (or cookie sheets) can be used to eat snacks on or for coloring. Pack wipes and paper towels in an easy to reach location. Use a cereal container with a trash can liner to cre- ate a small trashcan.

A few ideas: window crayons, DVD’s, activity games (you can print out from Pinterest), Mad Libs, and cookies.

Apples, pomegranate seeds, carrots, granola, string cheese, grapes, al-monds, popcorn and graham crackers are a few ideas.

Use a cereal container with a trash can liner to cre-ate a small trashcan.

Our Most Popular Contest

It’s time. That’s right. It is time once again for the ever popular “Where in The World Is Revco Bob” contest.

I know, you’re probably giddy with ex-citement. And, why not? After all, this has traditionally been the most popular contest we run with more of you, my fabulous clients, enthusiastically re-sponding than to any of our other con-tests.

Sure, you can win great prizes. This year I have two different prizes that come directly from one of the mystery loca-tions I visited. They are iconic food items that are very special. Compared to the run-of-the-mill versions you might find in your local store, these two prod-

ucts are considered the best in their class in the country from which they originate.

I know that some of you worry about accepting gifts or even prizes from ven-dors. Well, feel free to participate with-out worry. While these items are incred-ibly delicious, I’ve made sure the actual cash value is minimal. So, enter your guesses without concern.

But, perhaps even more important than winning a prize, by correctly identifying the mystery locations, you’ll receive the recognition and notoriety from your in-dustry colleagues across the country who devour FY I every month. We’ll publish the names of the winners and you could become famous!

Read on, get the details and look for the clues. Good luck!

Client Corner A great big thank you goes out this

month to Steve Simard and Gary Gid-

dings at Duke Energy’s Anclote Station

in Holiday, FL. Last month, we complet-

ed the installation of their new Evans

Consoles Admin Area control console

after months of planning.

The U-shaped console with a wrap

around transaction shelf and the beautiful

Duke Energy logo visible when one first

walks into the control room will allow

Duke Energy’s control room staff to

manage their facility more efficiently.

Thank you, Steve and Gary. I enjoyed

working with you on this project.

Do You Know Anyone Who Could Benefit From World-Class IT Products

and Knowledgeable and Dependable Advice, Support and Service?

Many of our clients are referred to us by folks just like you. So, I want to send you a selection of Gourmet Cookies when you refer a friend or colleague to Revco. Share them with your office or lock ‘em up in your drawer. It’s up to you. You can also earn a dinner for 2 at your choice of any restaurant you want! Get the details at revco-inc.com/referral.

Word Search Clues Within this word search puzzle are the names of the countries, cities, towns, island and famous places that Revco Bob visited during his recent travel. Unlike normal word search puzzles, the list of clues below does not show the entire clue but rather, only the first two letters (otherwise, you’d have the answers without do-ing any work!). Use this to help you identify the mystery locations.

Cool Places to Travel in August

For many, August is the last chance to sneak in one final vacation before the warm weather ends. Take a look at a few of the best places to visit in August.

Two of the best opportunities to spot wildlife in their natural habitats are in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya and Galápagos Islands, Ecuador. Consid-ered the eighth wonder of the world, the great migration of herds of wildebeest and zebra starts in August as they shift their grazing territory from the Serengeti to the Mara plains. In Galápagos, August spawns a feeding frenzy for local wild-life. The Galápagos biodiversity is unpar-alleled: you’ll see Minke and Sperm whales, sea lions and their pups, giant tortoises, Galápagos penguins, and albatross adolescents. To make the most of this trip of a lifetime, consider taking a week-long cruise with stops at smaller islands and onboard nat-uralists to give you an up close and per-sonal experience.

For culture and cuisine, Germany and Oregon are top picks. In Berlin, Germa-ny, August hotel rates are at their lowest while one of Europe’s most important dance festivals, Dance in August, takes place. International Beer Festival takes place in Berlin in August too. Local res-taurants have recently upped their game with innovative international chefs serv-ing up an eclectic mix of food from Viet-namese to American Jewish deli!

August is consistently warm in Portland, Oregon, and the city is chock full of indie coffee shops, eclectic festivals, and sto-ried outdoor culture. There are also tons of free activities to take part in, from bik-ing to browsing farmers’ markets to gal-lery hopping. Bite of Oregon on Water-front Park takes place in August -- an annual festival that celebrates local food, wine, and craft beer with Iron Chef com-petitions, local music, and tastings.
