SKIING You will find us on the slopes at Alta every Thursday and following the powder on other days. If you want to find out more information and be added to our email list, please call, text or email Maddy Warner.

Every month we will try and showcase a member of our group: I love the diversity of our group and the close friendships that have developed. Whether it’s sharing a lift, acting like kids finding powder in the trees, helping each other, or having lunch at Alf’s, you will usually find a familiar face to ski with. Maddy

Community Resources

Thanks to our generous members for an amazing charity. Newcomers raised over $600 each for Utah Food Bank and the YWCA Women’s Shelter. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I am still encouraging you to seek out charities for grant applications. The next Oasis will have the grant application and guideline. I am also looking for members to spotlight their good works in volunteering in the community, as well as volunteer opportunities for members. I know that they are out there – so upturn the baskets and let the lights shine.

Newcomers to the Salt Lake area are eligible for membership in the Club at any time. A prospective member may attend as a guest to any three social functions, such as luncheons, parties, sports, games, etc. Membership in the Newcomers’ Club is required for attendance at other functions after these three initial guest visits.

The Newcomers’ membership/fiscal year begins on June 1 and ends May 31 of the following year. Dues are currently $30 payable by June 1 of the current membership year. Renewal notices are sent out in March.
