W here do we go from here? Almost half of the year has

gone past. The virus has put all of us in our homes. Good point is

that we could all sit and stitch. We are expecting large finishing

orders in the months to come. Don’t forget to get your piece in as

soon as possible to avoid the rush. We here in Spring, Texas have

been keeping our communication open to help anyone in need. Just

call or email and we will be happy to help you. We have provided

curbside service if you like or even walk ins. This is a feel and

touch industry and if possible, we like to see what is out there. The

Nashville market came just before the virus outbreak. Merchandise

was shipped to us and some of you have not had the chance to see

everything. Come on in and look. Our limitation is the amount of

people that we can have in the shop. Everyone has been in

compliance with what is needed. After all we have to now get ready

for the long hot summer of drinking “sweet tea” and stitching.

Come check out all the new stuff and find projects that will suit your

needs. We are a one stop shop. If we have the chart, we have all

the parts.

Saturday, September 5, 2020 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We tried to do this in April and things didn’t work out so we are

going to try again.

Stitching Tip: Threading a needle

If you are threading a needle over your finger it is easy to determine if

you have the right size needle. To do this, lay your thread over your

index figure. Left finger if you are right handed and right finger if you

are left handed. Put the needle in your other hand and slide it down the

finger with the thread until it comes up through the eye of the needle. Pull the thread

through the needle. Come by the shop and we will be happy to show you this step.

With enough practice, this will become a quick method for needle threading.

Remember we are here to help you. All you have to do is ask.

You will be learning the proper way to start and finish your threads. The difference

between fabrics and counts of fabric. Join us for a good morning of learning.

Additional classes will be offered through the months. Check our

website at www.3stitches.com for details.

Remember there is always something new to learn! Come to our home to stitch!

Ornament Club – Join today. Sign up to receive a kit each month and stitch

ornaments from the 2019 JCS Christmas Ornaments magazine. Each month we will

select an ornament and send you a kit that will contain the fabric and threads necessary

to stitch that ornament. It will also contain embellishments, finishing fabric and

detailed instructions to complete your ornament. If you want to learn how to finish,

now is the time. At the end of one year’s time you’ll have finished ornaments to use in

your decorating or perhaps give as gifts. Call the shop to get included in this festive

club. Come in the shop and see all the ones we have made.

Mystery Box – If you haven’t joined that as of yet, you have missed out on lots of

original charts designed exclusively for the event. The box contains not only the chart

but also the fabric, threads, and embellishment. We have used a variety of various

threads for these projects to increase your knowledge of the fibers available.

New! New!

New!

Our shop has been updated to help you the customers and

our team better locate your needs. With “new”

merchandise coming in, it is difficult to always have things

where they need to be. Designers design, we see, and we

want. Who ever heard of anyone having too much stash?

If you are looking for something special, give us a call. We either have it, it is on its

way to the shop, or we can get it. Merchandise is reaching the shop a little slower than

previously; however, we order and it shows up. Be a little patient during these times

as everyone is doing their best to get the job done. We can get anything in this

industry that is available. We love keeping the UPS and Fed Man busy. We not only

have an online shop but a retail shop. Our shop is well stocked with everything

needed to complete a project – chart, fabric, thread, embellishments, etc. We are in the

needlework business!

3 Stitches is a “one stop shop”. We not only know where to get the project but also

how to do the project. We have a website, www.3stitches.com or you can always email

us at [email protected] with questions.

“New” Easy Guide Ball-Tip Needles are here in sizes 24, 26, and 28. They are not

anything like regular needles. They are actually cast (poured) and hand-polished out of

stainless steel. They are not pressed by a machine, like most needles. Each needle is

touched by human hands individually. Have you tried them? We have plenty on hand.

Pat’s Favorite Needle glide through the fabric. They have a long gold eye and are easy

to thread. They come in a pack of 25 needles and in size 24, 26, and 28. We know you

need a pack of these.

The Nashville Market was March 6, 7, and 9 so there is more “new” stuff then there is

time to write. We are still getting in stuff from the market. Yes, you read correctly.

Tiny Modernist has “Land Of The Free” designed in a circle. It would be a good piece

to hang on a tree or door. “Donkey Biscornu” is as cute as can be. If you have never

made a biscornu (pincushion), now is your time. “Always Flowers” has a very

thoughtful verse. Model stitched on 28 Ct. China Pearl Jobelan with DMC threads.

Heartstring Samplery has “Flanders Fields Biscornu” with beautiful red poppies

Model was stitched on Confederate Grey Weeks Dye Works fabric. However, this piece

could be made on any size fabric. “Honeybee Pin Drum” has an antique design look.

Hands On Design has released another part of their Secret Santa titled “Silent Night”

You will certainly want all of these charts for a Christmas display. “Merry Bright” has

also been released.

Heart In Hand has “Christmas Square Dance” with three different designs – angels,

stockings, and trees with a red truck.

Heart In Hand has a pocket round “Bee” that is embellished with tiny black beads. It

is displayed in a heart ware container but would also be good as an ornament to hang or

a pincushion on top of a tea cup perhaps.

Annie Beez Folk Art has “Country Christmas I” with five different ornaments. Start

now and you will have plenty to hang on your tree or perhaps give to all your friends.

Homespun Elegance, Ltd. has “Delivering Tea Leaves” with a large cup of tea that is

being pulled by sheep. A bluebird is flying over the top and a red bird stops to say hello.

If you like tea, this is a must have.

Hello from Liz Mathews has “ Flowers Always” . Model was stitched on 36 Ct. Linen

from Weeks Dye Works with Silk N Color silk thread Smoke Stack from Thread

Gatherer. “Red R Sampler” is a beautiful sampler stitched on 40 Ct. Stars Hollow fabric.

Rosewood Manor has “Anchors Of The Kingdom” including alphabet anchor charts.

Model was stitched with Rainbow Gallery’s Treasure Braid floss. “Mid-Summer’s Eve

is a different design than most. See for yourself.

2020 Prairie Schooler Santa is here. This is number 34 in the collection. They were

released early this year and we are thankful for that. For all the years, it has been a

Christmas in July project to stitch. In case you did not get on our list, let us know if you

would like us to hold one of these for you to come pick up or mail. The 18 Ct. Putty

Khaki Davos fabric is here also.

Imaginating has “Let’s Mingle & Jingle” with little Gnomes in a snow globe. Model

is stitched on 14 Ct. White Aida with lots of red , coral, gray, and black DMC threads.

“Let’s Make Jam” is a good piece to hang in your kitchen with lots of words. “Floating

Friends” is a Mary Engelbreit piece done in bright colors. “Joyful World” was designed

by Sandra Cozzolino with words of Peace on Earth and much more.

Threadwork Primitives has “Handtuch Sampler” designed by Nan Lewis. Model was

stitched on 40 Ct. Light Mocha using only three different fibers – two from Weeks Dye

Works and one from Gentle art. This is a simple but very pleasing model inspired by a

Pennsylvania German hand towel.

Kustom Krafts, Inc. has “Summer Day” using 36 different shades of DMC colors. If

you like dogs, this one would be of interest to you perhaps. “No Place Like Home” is a

cottage with autumn foliage trees surrounding the area.

We would like to thank all of you who have supported us during these trying times.
