PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow is Ruben's last day here at the school. We will be honoring him at our

morning assembly. Both the staff and the students are very sad to see him

go. Ruben always goes above and beyond for our community. You will be able to see him as he will continue to work for

the church on the weekends.

Our wonderful Mrs. Haggett will be celebrated on May

22 in La Verne as our Teacher of the Year. Her ready

smile, humble attitude, and wonderful skills as an

educator make her this year's obvious choice. "May

the force be with you", Janelle Haggett! If any

parent would like to attend, please feel free to buy a

ticket through La Verne's Chamber of Commerce.

HNM Summer Camp Program

When: Monday, June 10 thru Friday, July 19, 2019

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday

Who: Grade K-8 (Fall 2019)

The theme of Holy Name of Mary’s Summer Camp is Passport Through Summer. Campers will explore different

cultures of the world with a specific theme each week. We are committed to providing a rich faith filled

environment along with making learning and discovery fun and exciting. Our goal is that your children will feel

comfortable and enjoy their stay with us.

All children are expected to exhibit good behavior at all times. Children who are not registered at Holy Name of

Mary School must submit a current report card, along with their summer registration fee and form.

Reflecting on the Word The bounty of this catch of fish portrays that God will provide disciples with what is needed as they

go out to feed the people. How often do we withhold the nourishment of time, attention, and affection, pleading that we barely have enough to feed ourselves? As we nurture others, we rely

on the abundance that God gives.

Who are the “sheep” Jesus refers to?

Living the Word Invite some friends to a feast filled with what nourishes all of you. The feast could include a mixture of storytelling, art, poetry, and music. Make sure that each person is interested in at

least some of what will be offered. Be sure, too, that all know this is a screen-free time.
