INNOVATUBE APPRENTICE (IA) 2016 is a 4 month on the job training program for technical individuals who have strong entrepreneurship spirits and want to start their own company.

The program is designed to prepare IT engineers with necessary business knowledge to start a company, such as: business model building, strategic planning, sales, marketing, operation and fund raising.

The unique point of Apprentice 2016 is 6 selected participants will start their own startup within the program and get funded & supported by Innovatube after long term.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE WITH OTHER PROGRAMS?

Other programs offer the same schedule for both technical and

business based founders, which is pretty unfair for both, especially technical ones. We fix this with a

program focusing on the weakness and strength of technical

background founders.

DO REAL STARTUP WITH REAL MONEY

Instead of spending all the time learning about startups,

participants in Apprentice 2016 start building their own startup

with real money. We invest $1.5k in participants to build team and MVP. Then we invest up to $10k

for most potential teams.

We have strong connections in not only Vietnam but also Southeast Asia, Japan and Europe, which enables us to help you connect with the right people, catch up with the right trend and expand to regional and international markets at the right time.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

All those who are engineers with a strong entrepreneurship spirit and want to build their own startup.

You can be:

➤ Developers working at IT company but preparing to do startup

➤ Outsourcing developers who want to start having their own product.

➤ Engineers failed some startups before but still are passionate to do again.

➤ Engineers who are currently a founder of a startup but not reach the expected growth.

ELIGIBILITY

➤ Individuals (you can only register as individual, not a team)

➤ Engineers

➤ 20-30 years old

➤ Based in Hanoi during the program (at least 4 months)

➤ Good at English

➤ Strong entrepreneurship spirits

➤ Interested in at least 3 startup ideas and flexible to any new idea

➤ Experience in startups is a plus

*The amount of money and equity Innovatube gets will depend on each team.

➤ Why don’t the program accept teams?

At early stage, a startup depends on the founders than any other factors. We believe this strongly, and focus on developing founders only.

➤ So if I have a startup team already, I am not qualified?

No, you can still apply as an individual. But make sure that your team will agree with any commitment you make with Apprentice one you’re accepted.

➤ I have no team now, but I see that it’s required to build a team in the 2nd stage. Will you help me to do this?

Yes, we will help you as much as possible. But we expect that after one month training, you’re confident and attractive enough to ask other people to join your startup.

➤ I am working full-time at a company. Do I have to quit it to join Apprentice?

In the first month, you are just required to join all the training courses and spend enough time building business model (take about 20h/week). So you can still be able to do another full time job, if you think you can commit to Apprentice.

But once you’re chosen to the next 3 months, you’re expected to commit 100% time (and soul) to your startup. Simply, it’s your startup and it needs you. Also, in this 3 months, you have our 1st fund, so that you may not be worried about your finance.

In conclusion, if you are serious with startup, you have to quit your job sooner or later.

➤ What English level do you require?

At the moment, you will have to write all the application form (include 1 introduction video) and have interview in English. Make sure that you’re comfortable with it.

➤ I have no startup idea, can I apply?

If you have no startup idea, we think that you’re not ready for startup yet. At least, you should find some problems and think of solutions to say that “ I want to do startup” right? Even if you think your ideas are not excellent, just write it down. We want to see your spirit first.

➤ What does Innovatube support us?

We support you with:

➤ How much equity will Innovatube get?
