Innovation Endorsement Certificate

44

In the interest of further advancing the cause of business innovation, GInI operates the GInI Innovation EndorsementProgram. This program seeks to recognize relevant innovations from businesses by endorsing them for their innovativevalue and actual business impact. Endorsement of one's innovations by GInI is sound, objective evidence of theirinnovativeness and value, without requiring the business to expose confidential details of the innovations to the public.

GInI offers three tiers of endorsement, according to the type and scope of the innovation:1. Tier 1: Internal Process Innovations – innovations internal to the business; these do not result in new market

offerings.2. Tier 2: Value Capture – extensions of current offerings that enable the business to deliver more value and

capture greater market share.3. Tier 3: Value Creation – delivery of completely new offerings that grow the business beyond its current core.

Higher tier innovations, in general, require more effort and investment to achieve than do lower tier innovations, and alsorepresent the greatest risk/reward profile. They are therefore more prestigious and rarer. The applying business musthave an exclusive right to use the innovation, and the innovation must have been in use for a minimum of six (6) months sothat actual business impact can be assessed reliably.

Businesses wishing to secure a GInI Innovation Endorsement must work through a GInI Authorized Innovation Assessor(AInA)® to complete and submit the endorsement application. An innovation must have been in use for a minimum of six(6) months so that actual business impact can be assessed reliably. GInI Innovation Endorsements are valid for the life of theinnovation and do not expire.
