Speakers

Natalia Petrik, legal counsel at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Institute since 2005. Secretary at the SCC Mediation Institute (2006 – 2007), secretary at the Swedish Arbitration Association for Young Lawyers at the SCC Institute (2006 – 2007). Previously, Natalia worked as arbitration/litigation associate with major Swedish law firms. Natalia holds double degree in Swedish and Russian law as well as master degree summa cum laude in linguistics.

Dr. Sabine Konrad is a Partner at Morgan Lewis in Frankfurt, focusing on international dispute resolution, with an emphasis on investment arbitration and international commercial arbitration in a broad range of industries, including energy and infrastructure. In addition, Sabine acts as an arbitrator in investment treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration cases.

Lise heads business development at the SCC including innovation, digitalization and the SCC Platform. With an M&A background both as external counsel and inhouse at Spotify, and a business background heading the business department at other tech start-ups, she brings new perspectives to the arbitration world.

Dr. Kathleen Paisley is a Partner at Ambos Lawyers in Brussels. Kathleen has been practicing in Brussels, London and The Hague for more than 25 years. Being a leading international arbitration expert, she has acted in arbitrations and mediations of commercial and investor-State disputes under all the major international arbitration rules.

Jan K. Schaefer, LL.M. (Singapore) is a Germany-qualified Rechtsanwalt and partner in the international arbitration practice of King & Spalding LLP, resident in the Frankfurt office. Jan acts as counsel in commercial, construction and investor-state arbitration proceed-ings in various industries, including energy, life science, technology and automotive, and regularly sits as arbitrator, including chairman and emergency arbitrator, under various rules and laws. He has published widely on arbitration-related topics and regularly speaks at conferences.

Jan Schäfer

Dr. Maximilian Pika is an Associate at Morgan Lewis in Frankfurt, focusing on international commercial and investment arbitration. He acted in banking, energy, life sciences, mining, oil and gas, and TMT matters. Maximilian is dual-qualified as an English barrister and in his native Germany.
