We are Innov8 Office Interiors, a commercial interior design and fit-out collaborative based in Ireland. Innov8 was formed in 2006 by Stephen Cairns after 20 plus years in the office products sector and a burning aspiration to supply more than paper and pens. After a very short period of time, it was clear to see that something was missing from the current status-quo of commercial offices – carefully considered artistic design. With this outlook in mind, Stephen Cairns Junior joined Innov8, heading up the design element of the business.
The father-and-son duo of Stephen and Stephen began to take the marketplace by storm, with their creative flair and desire to go the extra mile for all of their clients. Business began to increase over the years, as did our team, growing steadily from two people to six in 2010. Innov8’s steady growth began to pick up pace, doubling turnover twice in as many years and growing our team from six to seventeen in 2016.

Our team are very important and our staff are key, their enthusiasm for what they do is infectious and it’s clear that our clients benefit from this. We have built up a wealth of over 100 combined years of experience in the industry. Each of our teams; design, sales and operations, work hard at achieving our objective of going beyond the necessary to implement the extraordinary. We look to find solutions with no job being too small or too difficult. We have established key partnerships with carefully selected European and Global manufacturers working together to implement their products with our designs in order to bring something new and innovative to the office furniture market.
We are proud that we get to work alongside with some of the top global businesses. We have established relationships with these companies and are proud that for many we are seen as a friend of their business not just a supplier. As we enter into our tenth year, we are humbled to say that our very first clients are still with us today ten years on!

Since our inception in 2006, Innov8 have worked hard to achieve our vision, which is to create perfect, productive work spaces, through superior design and innovation. Our in-house team of designers work hand in hand with our Sales and Project team, helping clients through the process of designing and implementing their dreams for their working environment. We invest a lot of time and effort in our 3D full colour plans, which are made available to every potential client, regardless of the size of the project. We believe our design has been key to our success and allowed us to establish and build relationships with clients in Northern Ireland, Ireland, United Kingdom, Europe and U.S.A. We don’t design and do, we listen, we learn and we help our clients achieve the best outcome for their needs, aiming to exceed their expectations in any and every way we can.

Innov8 provide a dedicated project manager who will work with you to help you prepare, liaise with the different sub-contractors involved and manage the whole process.

A key area of interest to us is the study into prolonged sitting in the workplace, and the adverse effects this can have on a workforces long and short-term well-being. The term “sitting is the new smoking” had been coined in recent years, and despite the naivety of the phrase, the impacts that it entails are very serious. Studies have shown that people with a more sedentary lifestyle can reduce their life expectancy by years, compared to someone who is more active in their daily routine.
One way to combat these effects is the use of Sit-Stand desks and adaptive seating, which increase subtle muscle movements that help blood flow and circulation while decreasing the amount of time spent in a sedentary position.
One of the most influential changes in the working environment is the utilisation of collaborative zones and furniture. Collaboration has become a bit of a buzz word among office design, and with good reason. As millennials occupy more and more of our workspace, they bring with them an aspiration to communicate and socialise across every facet. In turn, our work spaces need to meet these demands, warping into collaborative hubs, which also maximise on staff morale and productivity.
With all of these changes in our workspaces, as they grow and evolve into social hubs, we start to find some challenges. One such challenge is noise, the buzz that is created with collaboration needs to be curtailed in some way so as not to overpower the more introvert spaces. To combat this sound pollution, we can take steps toward restricting reverberation, either at source or at receiver. This can be achieved through creative acoustic products, unique geometric design concepts and new innovative materials.

Concentrix (Global Contact Centre)

.BRIEFAs part of a business proposal and bid package, Innov8 produced an interior design and fitout proposal for a property in Porto, Portugal. The design brief required the interior to be bright, with flexible space for their staff to work away from their desks. Incorporated into the design were elements of Porto and the surrounding region.

Cayan (U.S. Software Company)

.BRIEFInnov8 began discussion with Cayan in the Summer of 2015 which led to an initial design proposal for their new offices. The response to the first draft was very favourable and work commenced on refining the design.
The project began implementation in January 2016 and was completed with a 2 week schedule.

.BRIEFIn January 2013 MSM Law acquired new Headquarters in Belfast City Centre. They wanted to turn their empty shell into a modern, professional legal practice fit for their staff, their clients and their future!
In January 2013 MSM Law acquired new Headquarters in Belfast City Centre. Once the layout was completed, the Innov8 team were able to unleash their flair! Innov8 offered a great variety of furniture options, provided us with 3D drawings of how the furniture would look in-situ as well as showing us samples in their showroom. The Innov8 team couldn’t have been more helpful from the early design stages right through to delivery which was timed perfectly. Innov8’s after-sales service has been second to none and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to others and we hope to be able to work with them again in the future.
