another milestone,supporting access to aplacement from the fiftiethindividual school. Studentsfrom schools as far asCranbourne in the South,Ferntree Gully in the East,Sunbury in the North, andWerribee in the West hadtaken up our opportunities.This reflected the staff’sgreat work in securing thewidest range ofopportunities, with 12industry areas covered.

More than 450 youngpeople directly benefittedfrom our numerouspartnerships, programs andservices during 2018. Fortheir diligent work we thankthe staff team: Amy Liddy,

the two year period(2018/19) the IELLEN isfacilitating or activelysupporting at least 26partnerships, networks,projects and community-based committees.

All 31 LLENs across Victoriahave revised KeyPerformance Indicators(KPI’s) for the SWL Service in2018/19. These are to meetstate-wide targets forplacement opportunities(sourced from employers)and also the number ofsubsequent opportunitiestaken up by students. ByAugust the IELLEN hadalready met one of ourindividual KPIs for 2018. Bythen we also reached

Southern MetropolitanPrimary Care Partnership);and a Community Grant(City of Boroondara). Totalfunding was worth just overhalf a million dollars.

After consultations with DETregional staff, with schoolsand other stakeholders, theIELLEN submitted a two yearWork Plan in March to DET.This is a comprehensiveWork Plan, addressing sevenpartnership domains (asshown in the report). Asapproved in May, someindividual partnerships andnetworks weren’testablished until the secondhalf of the year. Outcomeson some initiatives are to beachieved during 2019. For

Joint CEO and Chairperson’s ReportWith four EFT staff, theIELLEN delivered on 6contracts and grants during2018. The two largest arewith the Department ofEducation and Training(DET), for “PartnershipBrokerage”, and for deliveryof the Structured WorkplaceLearning (SWL) Service. Wewrite “are” as these contractscover a two year period, untilthe end of 2019. For theyear 2018 we also receivedfive smaller grants. This wasfor work to deliver the “OnTrack” service (DET); atransition program (fundingby DET via School FocusedYouth Services); a Local DrugAction Team Program(funded by the Alcohol andDrug Foundation); a “HealthAdd-On” project (funded by

Tracey Fenton, DennisCindric, and Tom Rankin, aswell as administrativesupport in John Broughton,Ardian Putra and FranZemunik. Our appreciationextends to the Committee ofManagement: BronwenThompson, Sam Joukadjian,Gary Buckeridge, CherryGrimwade, Jess Lawrence,Philip Javier, HollyCarpenter, and to NathanChisholm, recentlyseconded. Thanks to all ofyou for your governance andstrategic oversight. We arefortunate to have such depthof talent and continuity ofservice from both staff andcommittee. And fortunate tohave such wonderfulstakeholders in our

catchment. With theirsupport, the IELLEN ismaking a real differenceto the lives of youngpeople.

Resilience andWellbeing Network (“RaW”) forschool wellbeing staff; a Trauma Informed PracticeNetwork; and initiatives such as new servicedirectories / resources.

A suite of career education programs: workplacetours; “work readiness” workshops; careerforums; and mock job interviews for youngpeople.

Includes the Inner Metro Youth & CommunityPartnership (IMYCP); and a Local GovernmentAreas (Youth & Middle Years) Community ofPractice.

Projects and initiatives for cohorts such as youngcarers, and LGBTIQ youth. Information andassistance to young people via the DET-funded“On Track” surveys.

Windsor Intensive Transition Support Program;VCAL Provider Network; Boroondara / ACFE LearnLocal provider Forum; a Social Enterprise Network;and an Awards event.

Local Drug Action Team (LDAT) Program, and our“Health Add On” project, both focused onStonnington public housing estates.
