Vessel Tracking Prototype Provides sample displays and vessel

tracking to demonstrate the functionality possible.- Static views demonstrate geographic (map) and

attribute (tabular) data display capabilities.

- Dynamic views show tows moving on the UMR.

Software from ESRI:- ArcMap (ArcGIS) for geographic and attribute

data.

- Tracking Analyst extension for vessel movements.

Scope of Prototype

Scope depends on selected scheduling system.

Could range from:- Local focus and span of control at a

single lock (several miles upstream and downstream).

- Regional or system focus incorporating multiple locks (up to ~100 miles).
