With a variety of unique Career Education programs, students have the ability to gain a certificate and start in the career of their choice. Below are just a few highlighted programs available at local Inland Empire and Desert Region California community colleges.
Radiologic Technology (Chaffey College)
The Radiologic Technology Program includes concurrent clinical education in facilities affiliated with Chaffey College. Clinical education and training includes operation of X-ray equipment, exposing and processing images, utilizing radiation protection devices, effective communication and judgement, and patient care. This style of hands-on training gives students the advantage to lead through experience. Careers can include Radiologist, Radiology Technologists, Radiology Technicians, Ultrasound Technician/Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, MRI Technician and CT/CAT Scan Technologist.
Telecommunications: Television Production Specialist (Riverside City College)
Industry-experienced instructors provide practical, hands-on training in Live-to-Tape Studio Production to give students the production skills, experience and professionalism they will need to succeed in television production. As part of the program, students will work on the crew of RCC cable television programs such as Inland Valley News and Inland Valley Magazine. This live-to-tape studio production experience provides students with unique skills and experience that will set them apart with a competitive edge. Careers can include broadcast technician, network systems analyst, programmer radio dispatcher, communication equipment operator, data communication analyst, technical manager, electronic engineer and communications manager.
