Initiation de la puberté : un mécanisme complexe
Dr Nicolas de Roux
DIU transition 2011
Puberty is the transit ion between the juvenile state and adulthood; during this stage of development, secondary sex characteristics appear and mature, the adolescent growth spurt occurs, fer t i l i ty is ach ieved, and pro found psycho log ic e f fec ts a re observed. These changes result directly or indirectly from m a t u r a t i o n o f t h e h y p o t h a l a m i c - p i t u i t a r y gonadotropin unit, stimulation of the sex organs, and the secretion of sex steroids (Styne and Grumbach, 1978)

GnRH
Facteurs environnementaux Facteurs neuroendocriniens
Horloge interne : maturation neuronale
Balance inhibition-activation de l’axe gonadotrope
• Mélatonine • NPY • GABA
• Les catécholamines • La norépinephrine • La dopamine
• La sérotonine • La galanine
• Leptine • Glutamate
