!Having been inspired by the work of Schiele, Herschfeld and Mc Bess , I thought this would be a good place to start my project. Studying animation is part of my progression aims, therefor I have decided to focus on applying these skills to my summative project. By using these skills in this project I will be more prepared for the next step in my education

Brief!Transport for London has employed me to create a short animation, to heighten awareness about the

different types of transport in London.

Connections!Alice Kell

Idea 1!storyboard of of peoples different journeys in London, showing atmosphere, setting of London, different camera angles, pacing based to the music of second rhapsody by Gerwish

Idea 2!single line animation, showing basic silhouette of subjects i.e. walking, cycling etc.

Idea 3 !similar concept, however using rotascoping ( tracing a series of photographs) to produce a more realistic animation, inspired by Egon Schiele quality of line and colour scheme. Hand drawn animation using key frame system for hand made quality

Final Idea!Short animation, side perspective of different types of transport, to the music of second rhapsody. I think this would work best as hand drawn, simple morph animation . This is the medium I feel most comfortable with,, in addition I think there is a lot to explore in terms of line and textures etc. This also relates well to my earlier research to Egon Schiele and Herschman with a simplicity of line drawing.
