Idea 1- Promotion Package (album)

Music promo video:If I were to create a music video

the I would need to do extensive research into and artist in which I can use their music with their

permission. The easiest way to go about doing this would be to look for an ‘underground’ artist that has yet to be signed to a record

label.

Cover for release:For the cover I would use an image of the artist and use photo editing software in

order to make the background and scene relate to the song.

Magazine advertisement:

For a magazine advertisement I would most probably have the image heavily resemble the release cover as I want my audience to be able to spot the advertisement

and link it with the product.

Idea 2- Promotion Package (Film)

Teaser trailer:If I were to create a film

trailer, it would have to be a thriller or horror as I think it would be easier. One reason

for this is that it would be extremely hard to create high enough quality special effects

that are believable.

Magazine front cover:

I would try to show the main character on the magazine cover and use them as

the face for the movie. The colours would represent the films story for example if it involves supernatural

elements I would use black and dark blue colours to represent darkness and

mystery.

PosterThe poster would be very similar to the magazine cover through the colours and layout, however I

would include some more important factors of the movie like the scenery would be from a critical part of the film/trailer. I would have to include the credits as

well, starting with the actors, then followed by the production team.

Idea 3- TV Advertising Package

TV advertisements:Radio

advertisement

I would try to be unique with the advertisement to gain

the most attention from the viewers. I could use stop

motion for example or some small animation used. I

would heavily try to show the main concepts of the

products and the positives of it. I would also have to come up with a slogan to be shown

through all form of media related to the product.

TV SponsorshipFor this I ill try to include as much of the logo as I can, to promote it and

make it easily visible. I will also need to make my product in some way relevant to the sponsorship so the the audience

see the similarities and promoting techniques.

The radio advert will need a lot more thought on the sound

elements. I will need to include the slogan and heavy use of the products name. I will probably

include some form of a soundtrack in the background. The speech will be similar to

what is in the TV advertisement, however I will need to be more

descriptive.

Proposal

• After some peer feedback, I think it would be best to do the film trailer. One reason for this is that I am much better when it comes to starting from scratch, rather than working around a pre-existing product, for example the music video where I will need to work around the song. Another reason is that with the film trailer, magazine cover and poster, there is clear difference in the media platform on which they are presented, where the trailer is images and sound, and magazine cover/poster is physical.

Peer Feedback

• After asking my peers what they think I should do, I have decided to create a film trailer with a magazine cover and a poster. This is mainly because it will be easier where I'm working on by own and it will not be to much for me to handle. Furthermore I wont have to worry about getting permission from record labels, and as I have previously made a magazine cover, I already have some experience.
