When any substance is needed, a particular pathway is activated to
produce it. When enough has been produced, the pathway is deactivated.
This is because of enzymes are inhibited by the end product. If too much
product begins to accumulate, this inhibits one of the enzymes in pathway,
but if too short supply, inhabitation lifted making pathway active.
Incase of controlling of rate of respiration = An excess of ATP relative to
ADP inhibits the phosphokinase enzyme, thereby slowing down the rate at
which glucose is respired.
