Situated between two seas and two continents,Andalusia is the largest of Spain´s natural regionsand the one with the highest population. The cli-mate, as varied as its geographical features, isMediterranean, with mild winters and dry summers.

The millenarian history of Andalusia has producedan immense artistic legacy. The Alhambra inGranada, the Mosque in Cordoba, the Giralda andthe historic quarter of Seville are Humanity'smonumental landmarks. However in the vastmajority of its cities and towns we can find repre-sentations of the finest moments of the Andalusianartistic life throughout time.

Malaga is the smallest of the Andalusian provinceswith approx. 600.000 inhabitants. It has a privilegedplace at the mouth of the Guadalmedina river, onthe Mediterranean coast.

Benalmadena is an attractive coastal town in theCosta del Sol (approx. 35.000 inhabitants) that sitson a hill at the foot of the Mijas mountains range,

only 18 kms. from Malaga city and 12 kms. fromMálaga International airport.Originally a sleepy Andalusian fishing village withbeautiful white washed houses, Benalmadena hasdeveloped into a lively and animated town whichretains its old charm and character. The town is small enough to provide a peaceful andsecure environment, while large enough to offer

good shops, hotels and restaurants, a large park, amodern sports centre, shopping centres, cinemas,an art gallery, etc.

Benalmadena offers a wide range of amenities forall ages, such as, an amusement park, a casino, 18hole golf greens and the popular Puerto Marina deBenalmadena, with 978 mooring slips, a sailing

school, an aquarium, adiving school, that hasbecome one of thefavourite meeting placesfor young people for itsdazzling nightlife.

The geographical situationof Benalmadena enablesthe students to organizecultural excursions to themost important cities ofAndalusia and toMorocco, only a short onehour ferry trip away.
