Rationale for Basis (applies to any boxes checked above): Wetlands 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 do not have a surface water tributary system connection and are isolated. Therefore. the wetlands delineated on-sire are not under the iurisdiction of the U.S. Army corps of Engineers. A quick tield check revealed any apparent surface connection would currently be piped under the induskd wark to the south and east. I snoke with reoresentativcs of the Citv oPBatavia to see if I could eet a man of the stormsewer system, but they said the industrial development was conslructed before any local stormwater ordinance was in place. Therefore there is no map showing how the water tlows ( i f it does at all) rhrough pipes to the tributary located south of the property.

Rationale for Basis (applies to any boxes checked ahnve): Small ntermittenl stream on the property is apparent on the 1993 topo quad, aerial photos, and the hydrologic atlas. In the field the drainage exhibited defined bed and bank and continued offsite into the neighborhood to the south. From there it flows into Long Run Creek, then eventually into the Den Plaines River, a navigable water undcr jurisdiction of this office. Other wetlands and channels ldentified on the property did not appear to exhibit hydrologic surface connections to navigable waters.
