WEATHER The average daytime temperature is around 17-20˚c in Malta with

temperatures dropping off later into the evening (bring a warm coat!). We would recommend preparing for all weather (including rain) but,

we’re going to be praying for sun sun sun!

MONEYYou will only need Euro for the festival and this is accepted in all shops, bars,

restaurants and the festival venues. There are cash machines and money exchange facilities at most hotel receptions and also across the island.

PERSONAL BELONGINGSWe’d recommend not bringing your iPad / laptop or anything too valuable with you, and keep things locked away at all times just to be safe. Some of

the hotels will have safes in the rooms to store valuables.

In order to receive free medical care in case of illness or emergency you will need to have a valid EHIC card which is available free from www.ehic.org.uk

We recommend taking out travel insurance in advance of your trip.Please note if you do require medical attention, all expenses must be paid immediately (which you will claim back from your insurance company) so

please keep all receipts.

TIME ZONEThis is one hour ahead of the time in the UK.

SAFETYMalta is a safe and friendly country but please take care as you would back home.

COMMUNICATINGEnglish is an official language, along with Maltese, so you will be fine to converse

in your native tongue around the island.

PAYING AT THE BAR

The bars at the Lost & Found Festival venue and Boat Parties will operate using a token system.

1 TOKEN 5 The majority of drinks will be priced at 1 token

(roughly £3.70 per drink)

For your own convenience we recommend that you purchase an initial amount of tokens at the Token Kiosk at Café Del Mar before you arrive at the

Lost and Found venue.

Lost & Found Festival Venue – Token onlyThere will be 5 Token Kiosks operating at the venue from 7.30pm-3.30am: Cash or Debit / Credit card accepted

Café Del Mar - Cash only

Boat Parties – Token only Tokens can be purchased on the boat with cash

Pool Parties – Cash & debit / credit card only The day time parties at Café Del Mar + Aquarium Terrace will not use the token

system and you will be able to pay using cash or your debit / credit card.

£33 in advance / €50 at the festival

Festival shuttle will be operating between the following times and you can use it as many times as you want:

The festival shuttle will operate from Café Del Mar to the Lost & Found Festival Venue on a continuous loop. Please

allow up to 35 minutes travelling time during busy periods.

ARRIVING IN MALTA

When you arrive in to Malta Airport you have a number of options to get to your chosen accommodation.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS(only available for Experience Malta customers)

CAR HIRENumerous car hire companies operate from Malta Airport but we would recommend reserving a vehicle in advance as it will generally be

much cheaper! As an idea, www.rentalcars.com have a few options.

TAXIThere are taxis available from Malta Airport to your

chosen accommodation.

If you have an airport transfer booked through Experience Malta then there will be a rep at the airport who will direct you to your coach for the short transfer to St Paul’s Bay.

The transfer will drop you off at your hotel so please do listen for the driver’s announcements to ensure you depart the transfer at the correct location. For your return transfer, pick up information will be displayed in the hotel reception on the Experience Malta notice board around 48 hours before your departure so please check for your confirmed transfer time. The transfer will depart from outside your hotel and will head directly to the airport.

In case of any delay Experience Malta will not be held responsible for missed flights, trains, buses or any other means of transport.

All of the boat parties will pick up and depart from the pier in St Paul’s Bay which is around a 20 minute walk from Café Del Mar past the main square and

the McDonalds.

Please note that these times are set so that you can board the boat safely in time for the departure time.

You are not able to bring your own drinks on to the boat. You may also be searched before boarding.

Drinks tokens are available for purchase on the boat in cash which are redeemable at the bar.

Strictly no jumping in to the sea from the boat / pier. You will have your wristband taken off you and you will not be allowed in to the

festival for the remaining time of the festival.

POOL PARTIES

The pool parties will take place at Café Del Mar & Aquarium Terrace on Friday and Saturday from around 1pm – 8pm.

There will be a 14 hour party on Sunday 5th April at the Lost & Found festival Venue starting at 2pm.

The full line-ups are available in our programmes or on the website. Here are some more details about what to expect:

Pool parties run from 1:00pm – 8:00pm(Times may vary depending on the party).

Entry to all pool parties are FREE to wristband holders.

We are expecting these parties to be busy so please get down early to guarantee entry.

There’s a chance you might get wet from water from the pools, so please dress accordingly and look after your valuables.

Be careful with drinking in the sun for long periods and please drink lots of water.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Where can I get a copy of the set times for the festival / pool parties?These will be available in our programmes available from the merch stand at Café Del Mar or at the Lost & Found festival venue.

What if I feel ill / need medical attention? If you are at the festival venue then there is a first aid team located by the main entrance. Please speak to any member of Lost & Found staff and they will be able to help you.

What if I lose my wristband?We are unable to replace any wristbands so please look after yours!

I have a problem with my accommodation, who do I talk to?As most of the accommodation for the festival is in hotels we’d recommend speaking to the hotel reception if you have any issues at all.

Is there WiFi at the festival?There isn’t WiFi at the Lost & Found Festival venue, but around St Paul’s Bay there are plenty of WiFi hot spots.

Who can I talk to in Malta?There is an info point available at Café Del Mar by the Festival Shuttle Departure Point and also an info point at the Lost & Found Festival Venue so if you head there our staff will be able to assist you with any queries.

I’ve lost my phone / wallet / passport, what shall I do? We will have a lost property & info point available at Café Del Mar & the Lost & Found festival venue for any questions you may have about the festival or to check about lost property. If you’ve lost something valuable such as a phone then be sure to report it to the local police as this might be a requirement for your insurance and for all other items, be sure to cancel your cards or speak to a member of staff on the info points as we have lost property handed in all the time.
