Information for Dog Handlers

I understand the responsibility placed upon me as a participant of the Debra Takayama Memorial Junior Pheasant Hunt. I will comply with all rules prescribed herein as well as all safety standards related to hunting and the use of firearms. _____________________________________________________ ____________________ Dog Handler Signature Date

1. All dog handlers, must wear blaze orange while in the field.

2. Under no circumstance will anyone be allowed in front of a participant while the

participant is hunting.

3. Designated dog handlers will direct those hunters for which the dogs have been

assigned.

4. Every effort shall be made to prevent dogs from capturing planted pheasants on

the ground. Dogs must be kept under control or they’ll be removed.

5. There will be no ground shooting of birds.

6. Pheasants that leave your designated field may not be pursued.

7. No animals other than pheasants may be taken, caught, killed, captured, or

pursued by any dog or person.

General Information

8. The Debra Takayama Memorial Jr. Pheasant Hunt reserves the right to refuse or

revoke permission to anyone on the property for any reason.

9. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. Anyone found to have alcoholic

beverages will be subject to expulsion from the property.

10. No bird cleaning or de-feathering is permitted in the field.

11. Park only in designated areas; the speed limit is 5mph. Please minimize dust.

12. In the event of an accident or injury, contact the Hunt Leader immediately. The

Hunt Leader will have emergency facility information.

13. Please clean the hunting fields at the close of your hunting sessions, and check

out at the registration booth with hunting staff.
