As a STUDENT JOURNALIST, you will be required to fulfill

one or more of the following roles:

BE A REPORTER:

Gather sound bites (i.e. quotes) from participants under the

organisation that you are assigned to – they could be

involved in either the Parade’s Carnival, Contingent, or

Concert segment

Take 3-4 good photographs (profile or group shots) to

accompany the quote

Capture profile/action shots of your organisaion throughout

the event

my BELONGINGS?

No, as we have limited space, please bring minimal items only.

What is the ATTIRE? Please come dressed in your PURPLE PARADE tees and

comfortable attire and footwear. If you don’t have a Purple

Parade tee, please come in any purple-coloured top.

What if it RAINS or PSI

levels are high?

HOW do I get there?

Mode of Transport Information

MRT

The nearest station is Clarke Quay MRT (NE5). For those on the NS and Circle Lines, various connections

are available at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Interchange (NS24, NE6, CC1). As for the EW line, the connections are

available at Outram Park MRT Interchange (EW16, NE3). Proceed to Exit A and walk into Hong Lim Park.

Bus

186 and 970 are available along Upper Pickering Street

2, 12, 33, 54, 147, 190 and CT 28 are available at New Bridge Road

2, 12, 33, 51, 61, 63, 80, 174, 174e, 197, 961, 961C and CT 28 are available at Eu Tong Seng Street at Exit A of

Clarke Quay MRT.

Taxi

Passengers are advised to alight at the public car park next to the Kreta Ayer Neighbourhood Police Post.

Alternatively, passengers may choose to alight at Park Royal @ Pickering and cross the road using the

pedestrian crossings available.

Please do not jay walk for safety reasons.

Car

Car park options are available at the surrounding complexes at variable charges.

Patrons of the event are recommended to take public transport so as to minimise traffic congestions and

avoid disappointment.
