Visiting thinkers can work in a neutral setting, exchange with other think tanks and connect to International Geneva. International Geneva Geneva hosts a unique wealth of international organizations, institutional networks and expertise that are inspired by a culture of dialogue and cooperation. The city houses the European Headquarters of the United Nations, 34 international organizations (of a total of 40 based in Switzerland) and some 400 NGOs. Together with more than 170 states represented in Geneva through a Permanent Mission to the UN, International Geneva employs about 24’000 people. The city also welcomes every year some 3’000 heads of state and government as well as ministers, and around 2’400 conferences. This concentration of stakeholders and conferences in a single city is unique and gives Geneva a leading role in global governance. The key to successfully addressing the increasingly complex global challenges is to work together across national, institutional and intellectual boundaries. What we offer Free of charge, the Think Tank Hub provides six fully equipped working spaces as well as conference facilities for think tanks from around the world that are looking for temporary office space in Geneva, be it for meetings, a conference or research. The offices are conveniently located in the building of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in the heart of the city’s UN district. The welcome desk assists incoming and visiting think tanks and provides general support throughout their stay. Depending on the availability of office space, visiting think tanks can schedule a stay lasting up to several weeks and/or plan tailor-made events. INFORMATION BROCHURE 2017
