STUDY WITH US AT THE ICS AND AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SEVILLEThe program centers on the intensive study of Spanish language and culture, while offering a complete cultural immersion in the life of the Spanish community. As a way to accelerate language acquisition at all levels and to gain a working knowledge of the host culture, students enrolled at the ICS have the unique opportunity to live with local families or in student residences. ICS students enrolled in Fall, Spring, Summer and Arabic programs receive official transcripts, fully accredited by U.S. sponsoring universities and from the University of Seville, if applicable. For more information please visit the ICS website.
ICS students with a sufficient language proficiency may also enroll in upper divi-sion courses at the University of Seville. Students will appreciate attending classes in the imposing 18th Century building immortalized by Bizet’s opera “Carmen” and by 19th Century travellers in search of Romantic Spain. In addition to the courses especially designed for American colleges and universities, ICS students may enroll in up to two regular University of Seville courses (with Spanish students) at the Schools of Philology and of Geography & History.Cultural visits and ExcursionsEach semester students have the opportunity to participate in many fascinating cultural visits and excur-sions throughout Andalucía and a weekend trip to Morocco. “Intercambio” Program. Most ICS students wish to perfect their Spanish and many local students want to do the same in English. Our program of Linguistic Exchange is a great way to improve your skills and meet new people.
The International College of Seville is located in “El Porvenir”, a neighborhood filled with charming houses, small shops and restaurants, and the beautiful María Luisa park. The neighborhood as we know it now came about during the Ibero-American Exposi-tion of 1929. The World Fair, brought to “El Porvenir” the construction of exhibits, buildings, and very elaborate pavilions, many of which remain today. Most notable
