CURE has once again received the coveted Four-Star Charity distinction from

Charity Navigator. More than 90% of expenditures directly support our mission.

is the leading nongovernmental agency fully committed to funding research in epilepsy,

raising more than $40M to funding research and other initiatives that are leading the way to a cure for

epilepsy. CURE was founded in 1998 by Susan Axelrod and a small group of mothers of children with

epilepsy who, unwilling to sit back while their children suffered unending seizures and medication therapy,

joined forces to spearhead the search for a cure for epilepsy.

INITIATIVE

Pioneering a grant program to inform

future studies, CURE is the leader in

SUDEP research, and has awarded

$3.75M to researchers studying Sudden

Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.

An interactive database where patients'

genetic data is repeatedly analyzed in

hopes to identify the causes of epilepsy,

EGI is bridging the gap between

patients, clinicians and researchers.

In partnership with the U.S. Department

of Defense (DoD); a ‘team science’

program to benefit all affected by post-

traumatic epilepsy (PTE) as a result of

traumatic brain injury (TBI).

To advance new understandings,

therapies and breakthroughs in this

critical space, CURE has awarded over

$4M to Infantile Spasms researchers.
