    First of all, congratulations on joining our Summer School Programme! This

    document should help you to get prepared accordingly for the project. Please read

    carefully and start preparing.

    Summer School on European Integration and Human Rights Studies

    USPEE is a Chisinau-based university that organizes public events and

    professional trainings to raise general awareness about European Integration and

    European values. Since its inception in 1997, USPEE has set up numerous round-

    table discussions, forums, senior conferences, in order to provide a platform for

    exchange of ideas and experiences. USPEE events are concentrated on engaging

    mainly two types of audiences varying from students and young scholars, who are

    interested in European Integration, to young practitioners, whose primaryresponsibilities are directly or indirectly linked to European Integration and Human

    Rights Protection.The Summer School on European Integration and Human Rights Studies is

    designed as a branch of EPLO Academy of European Public Law and implemented

    by USPEE Constantin Stere to deliver high quality knowledge to the studentsfrom Moldova, Ukraine and Russia in the area of European Public Law and related

    areas.

    Summer Summer School on European Integration and Human Rights

    Studies is funded under Jean Monnet Programme. A programme with a vision

    of, a holistic concept aiming at excellence in the field of European Integration and

    having a board horizon regarding academic fields and target groups.The Summer School aims to contribute to lifelong learning and open

    participation by civil society groups.

    Summer School on European Integration and Human Rights Studies is

    structured in three sessions between 2012 - 2014.

    Third session is designed to discuss the topics of: human rights, labour

    market, asylum and immigration within European Union.

    Target groups

    Students of political science, public administration, law studies, economic studies,

    linguistic, tourism, international relations etc. the young practicioners from the

    NGOs, young judges and lawyers, school and university teachers etc.

    Objectives of the Summer School

    -

    To support the realization of a European area of lifelong learning;-

    To reinforce the contribution of lifelong learning to social cohesion,

    active citizenship, intercultural communication, gender equality and

    personal fulfillment;

    - To help promote competitiveness, creativity, employability and the

    growth of an entrepreneurial spirit;

    -

    To promote language learning and linguistic diversity;

    -

    To reinforce the role of learning in creating a sense of European

    citizenship based on understanding and respect for human rights and

    democracy, and encouraging tolerance and respect for other people andcultures.

    Preparing for the content of the Summer School

    In view of the Summer School, you are asked to:

    - Gather information on the European integration, human rights, labour

    market, immigration and asylum within European Union.

    -

    Bring with you good practices and tools to share, from your activities

    Language

    The project language is English and Russian. Participants must be proficient in

    English and Russian to participate.

    Programme

    The programme of the Summer School will take place between 14th25th

    of July 2014, starting from 14.00 every day(excepting Saturday and Sunday).

    CertificatesAt the end of the programme each participant will receive a certificate of

    completion, with 2 additional credits.
