In accordance with the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the production, export and import of mercury lamps will be prohibited from 2020. Adopting this principle, CASIO’s LampFree projectors replace the use of mercury vapour lamp with a hybrid Laser LED light source. Not only would this reduce pollution, but it will also ensure the availability of the parts for maintaining the projectors in the future.
