Today modern papermaking is very sensitive to disturbances. The

formation of deposits is one of the most important factors limiting

the productivity on a paper machine today. The deposition of

organic substances is considered a major problem in multiple

stages of pulp and paper processing. Some of the undesired effects

involve increases in downtime, costs to replace paper machine

clothing (forming fabrics, press and drying felts), more frequent

paper breaks (and related cleanup downtime), reduction Program

for controlling microbiological and slime deposits : Organic

microbiocides, Inorganic oxidizing biocides, Bio-dispersants

product quality (fish eyes, pinholes and picking), reduced

operational efficiency (e.g., in washing operations), and losses in

productivity of converting and printing.

The need of felt conditioning and cleaning programs is to

improve mill's profitability by extending felt life and

improving performance of the felt.. A properly designed felt

conditioning/cleaning program will optimize felt life and

press section performance. Felt cleaners and conditioners
