Note: A space between two terms is equivalent to implied adjacency for Keywords.
Truncations
Truncation or wildcards are symbols that replace one or more characters, which lets you search
for different variations of a term.
+ or *

All truncation symbols are used at the beginning, end and embedded in the words. The
shortened term must be at least three characters for truncation to properly function.
Wildcards may be used in any area of the assistant general search. Left or beginning truncation
may not be used for Owner, Designer or Representative searching.

Display
Details Pane
When selected (1), the Details Pane function displays the key content of the design next
to the list, details, or thumbnail views:
the title, registration number, register, owner, owner in original language (when
available), application date, publication date, Locarno Class, description, and all the
images.
By clicking on an image (2), a pop-up window displays a larger representation, when
available.
The details pane can be enlarged or reduced if you grab and move the limit (3).
The flag leads to the record on the office’s website (4).

List and details views
Both views display the registration number, register, owner, title, application date,
publication date, and Locarno Class.
The details view shows the first image or all images. The choice can easily be changed
under Choose details.
Sorting is available for each column when the number of records is less than 1000.
Thumbnail view
Displays only the registration number and date with one or all images.

Full view
Access by clicking on the registration number from the list, display, or thumbnail views.
Displays all fields with all the images.
By clicking on an image, a pop-up window displays the large size (when available).
Note: PDFs display for US designs.
The flag leads to the registration of the offices’ websites.
The keyboard down arrow directs to the following full view.

Save
Save a search
From the result interface, you may save a search.
The script, or search strategy, is automatically inserted. You may modify the query, using
command language. Name your search, which must begin with a letter and contain
alphanumeric characters only, with no spaces and save it.

Execute, edit or delete a saved search
From the left menu My saved searches, your may execute, edit or delete a saved search:
Execute reruns the saved strategy and takes into consideration any new records that
matches the strategy.
Edit displays the search strategy that you may modify.
Delete removes the saved search from your list.

Export
The export button becomes available only when records are selected.
Several formats: TXT, PDF, RTF, XLS, and XML
My export profiles: save a personalized export format to reuse in the future. The list of
your saved formats is directly available from the Export drop down menu.

Alerts
Set up an alert
You may create an alert from your search result page.
Choose to run your alert every week or month, with new documents only or all
documents.
The script is automatically included but may be changed for Questel command line
users.
Choose your format: classical (TXT, PDF, RTF), excel (XLS), XML (full or light)
Send to up to 23 emails, separated by a semicolon
