Colour Grading (Resolve)

A practical, hands-on course for practitioners wanting to develop colour grading skills and apply grading techniques to achieve an intended look. You’ll gain confidence in using industry standard software DaVinci Resolve and understand the technical requirements and options you can apply to achieve your creative intensions.

Over the 12 weeks you will:

� Learn about colour theory, and how to manipulate colour and light to contribute to your narrative.

� Gain skills in using DaVinci Resolve and understand the technical quality of data and the grading workflow.

� Understand the relationship between on set shooting and the post production process and how to Interpret a creative brief.

Production Accounting

There is a shortage of Production Accountants in the screen industry. Learn the knowledge and skills to prepare you for a career as a Production Accountant for film and screen content production.

Become familiar with and learn how to apply accounting technologies and workflows while developing a strong understanding of the stages of productions and their financial reporting obligations and requirements. You’ll gain specialised skills to work as an assistant production accountant with the aim to fast track to a career to production accounting, or be immediately able to be a production accountant on a low budget production. Over 12 weeks you will:

� Gain an understanding of the financial requirements and reconciliation at each stage of production and an understanding of compliance requirements.

� Skill up in payroll, accounts payable, petty cash, cost reporting and funding reporting as it relates to screen production.

� As well as a thorough understanding of the role of the production accountant in the production of a project, you’ll gain skills and knowledge complimentary to production management, producing and/or screen business.

IS THE PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT INDUSTRY CERTIFICATE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This course is suitable for people with an accounting or bookkeeping background. You’ll already understand double entry bookkeeping and accounting to trial balance. Prior use of standard accounting packages like Zero or MYOB will be an advantage. Good communication skills are also vital for a good Production Accountant as you will be constantly dealing with a variety of people from key creatives to funding agencies.

You will also learn the creative skills required to begin to craft scripted and unscripted short scenes if your ambitions are to progress into a creative role. Delivered by industry expert Rebecca Edwards who has more than ten years’ industry experience, you will engage in practical on-the-tools learning, lively discussions and meet Industry guests. TV Shooter Producer

Develop the technical camera knowledge and practical skills that are essential to operate as a successful TV Shooter Producer. Delivered by a highly experienced TV Shooter Producer with over fourteen years’ experience in the industry, this course will include extensive hands on experience with a range of different cameras and equipment, television production theory presentations, practical excursions, and presentations from industry guests.

Over 7 weeks you will:

Learn to shoot, edit and publish short form content. Over 8 weeks you will learn the skills required to create engaging short-form video and associated digital marketing assets. You will also learn how to take a brief, make it engaging across different platforms and turn content around quickly.

Delivered by experts who work in the field, you will engage in practical, collaborative lectures and workshops to learn how to create campaign style content. The course will include sessions on specialised technical skills like shooting, editing, simple animation, and graphics. You will be expected to create content outside of class time and submit a portfolio to brief at the end of the course.

Become a Broadcast Production Manager. In this Industry Certificate you’ll gain the knowledge and skills essential to work in Production Management in the contemporary Australian broadcast environment. Over 8 weeks you will:
