Seven ways to uplift the soul

Syedna al-Dai-al-Ajal TUS explained the importance of courage by saying: “Courage/valour is amongst the most esteemed traits of the soul”. He expounded upon seven ways through which a soul can achieve loftiness: (i) Humility towards Allah TA (ii)   Speaking the truth (iii) Attaining nearness to Allah TA (iv) Being

generous (v) Being pious (vi) Showing courage (vii) Emanating the desire towards mala’ekat.

Syedna al-Dai al-Ajal TUS summed up the importance of these traits in a du´a stating: “may Allah TA increase the ruhaani (spiritual) strength of mumineen through these noble traits.
