Introduction

Learning doesn’t only include learning about a topic but learning can also be a lesson on self reflection of one’s own identity , and how we reflect this learning on to others.

Learning Theories and Culture

My school and learning theories : Social Learning (the one I can

remember the most) I am sure there were other learning

theories being applied, but this one was the most memorable.

Social Learning: Observing Factors from previous teachers

General principles of social learning theory follows: People can learn by observing the behavior is of

others and the outcomes of those behaviors. People are often reinforced for modeling the behavior

of others. Self efficacy: People are more likely to engage in

certain behaviors when they believe they are capable of executing those behaviors successfully. This means that they will have high self-efficacy.

How self-efficacy affects behavior: Joy of activities: individuals typically choose activities

they feel they will be successful in doing.

Eclectic Approach

In the move away from teachers following one specific methodology, the eclectic approach is the label given to a teacher's use of techniques and activities from a range of language teaching approaches and methodologies. The teacher decides what methodology or approach to use depending on the aims of the lesson and the learners in the group.
