• India’s overall exports (Merchandise and Services combined) in April-September2019-20* are estimated to be USD 267.21billion, exhibiting a positive growth of 1.93per cent over the same period last year.

• Overall imports in April-September 2019-20* are estimated to be USD 312.16billion, exhibiting a negative growth of 3.15per cent over the same period last year.

Exports inSeptember 2019 were USD26.03 billion, as compared to USD27.87billion in September 2018, exhibiting a negative growth of 6.57per cent.

India Post celebrated National Postal Week from 9th to 15th October.

9th October is celebrated as World Post Day. This year, this day was celebrated as 50th World Post Day by UPU (Universal of Postal Union).

be put in 'Dark Grey' list. Pakistan is on the verge of strong action by

FATF, given its inadequate performance, whereby it managed to pass in only six of 27 items.

What is Grey list -: According to FATF rules, there is one essential

stage between 'Grey' and 'Black' lists, referred to as 'Dark Grey'.

Dark Grey means issuance of a strong warning, so that the country concerned gets one last chance to improve.

Key findings -:IMF downgraded global growth in 2019 to 3%, the

slowest since the financial crisis.which is a serious climbdown from 3.8% in 2017.

World output is projected to increase to a modest 3.4% in 2020 — still lower by 0.2% than the April projection.

Unlike the slowdown, this recovery is expected to be “precarious” and “not broad based” as per the IMF.

Emerging economies will show increased growth — from 3.9% in 2019 to 4.6% in 2020, while advanced economies will slow to 1.7% in 2019 and 2020.
