Indian Standards on DVDs Demo version 1.0

Planning the Installation

Before installing the software Indian Standards on DVDs let us check the server and client requirements.

Server Requirements The following are the prerequisites for the installation of the application: 1. Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/2003/2008 2. Network connectivity 3. DVD Drive and USB Port 4. Administrator rights 5. No previous versions of Indian Standards on DVDs 6. FTP server if the software is accessed via internet 7. Recommended Resolution – 1280*768 8. MySQl (Provided in the Installation DVD) 9. 20 GB space required for “All Division”

Client Requirements The following are the prerequisites for the installation of the application: 1. Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 2. Server connectivity via Network 3. No previous versions of Indian Standards on DVDs 4. Internet connection if accessing the server via internet 5. Recommended Resolution – 1280*768 6. 250 MB space required

After Installation and Activation, Indian Standards on DVDs Server Application Login Screen will appear automatically.

Log off from the Application

After login, the license details screen is opened. Now we will start with Free Area.



Free Area consists of Price list Browse Amendments – The user can view all the Divisions Amendments.Search Amendments - The user can view all the Divisions Amendments.Scope Reference - The user can view all the Divisions Documents.BIS Offices•Free Area can be viewed without logging in the application.

Click Division to view Sub Division




Click Sub Division to IS list




Click on IS to view the document



The user can preview and print the document,Go to Next Page,Zoom the page,Adjust width,Search ( Can search the keyword in Current IS or All divisions) and close the document.

Bookmark can be set for the opened IS using the link ‘View IS’ -> ‘Bookmark IS’

Search the IS Title/Number or Technical committee

It displays the list of searched documents

Settings consists of Location IS – To View and change the location of the Standards stored securely on the serverCreate New User – To create new user to access the client applicationMySQL Database Configuration- Tochange the database configuration

To create new user, enter the details and click Create Button

To Reset Password and Modify the details, click Edit link

MySQL Database Configuration



Select Modify Configuration String then enter the details

and click Submit button

Update



Update consists of Periodic Update(2/6 months) and
