About The ConferenceIndian Physicians Congress - 2020 which is going to be held on December 5-6, 2020 at Royal Orchid Resort and Convention Centre, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It’s a great opportunity to network with the world’s leading physicians and healthcare professionals. The theme of the conference is “Recent Advancement in Healthcare”. The conference will also feature a showcase of exhibitors for you to explore. Leading Physicians, Medical Practitioners, Surgeons from all countries will be attending the conference and will also examine innovative scientific advances in Medical and Healthcare research from basic science to clinical research.

Of 56.9 million global deaths in 2016, 40.5 million, or 71%, were due to noncommunicable diseases (NCD’s). The four main NCD’s are cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes and chronic lung diseases. The burden of these diseases is rising disproportionately among lower income countries and populations. In 2016, over three quarters of NCD deaths -- 31.5 million -- occurred in low- and middle-income countries with about 46% of deaths occurring before the age of 70 in these countries. The leading causes of NCD deaths in 2016 were cardiovascular diseases (17.9 million deaths, or 44% of all NCD deaths), cancers (9.0 million, or 22% of all NCD deaths), and respiratory diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (3.8 million of 9% of all NCD deaths). Diabetes caused another 1.6 million deaths.

Communicable diseases, like tuberculosis, HIV and dengue, continue to be among the most serious public health problems impacting people in the Western Pacific. Beyond illness and death, people also face socioeconomic hardships, such as loss of employment or high medical costs. Relatively older diseases such as TB, malaria, cholera and meningitis have recently recrudesced worldwide. At the same time, newer or re-emerging diseases such as infection with influenza A (H5N1) virus (avian flu), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and chikungunya have reached epidemic proportions in some countries.

The lost due to communicable diseases is higher than the regional average (approximately 30%) in Bangladesh (48%), India and Bhutan (44% each), Myanmar (46%), Nepal (49%) and Timor-Leste (58%). In contrast, this proportion is lower than the regional average in Sri Lanka (15%), and similar to it in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Maldives and Thailand

Globally, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates a shortage of 4.3 million physicians, nurses and other health workers worldwide, especially in many developing countries. In the US alone, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) estimates a shortage of 91,500 physicians by 2020 and up to 130,600 by the year 2025. Reports suggest that in India there is just one allopathic government doctor available for around 11,082 people across the country, a figure more than 10 times the recommended ratio of 1:1000. The incidence of diabetes was found to be 8.4%, while hypertension was 10% and common cancers (oral, breast and cervix) was 0.1%. A total of 30,06,443 people were detected with diabetes, 3,654,099 had hypertension, 47,464 and 39,635 had common cancers. The number of dengue cases also went up from 1,29,166 in 2016 to 1,57,996 in 2017. Diarrhoea killed 1,555 people in 2016 and 1,331 in 2017.

Indian Physicians Congress - 2020 will be a platform to investigate on all this issue and also on the latest advancements in the field of Healthcare and Medicine which will be useful to researchers, physicians and healthcare professionals. General medicine usually deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in general medicine are called internists, or physicians. Physicians are skilled in the management of patients who come with undifferentiated or multi-system diseases. Physicians often have subspecialty interests in diseases that affecting different organs.

The scientific program will feature live workshops, interactive education sessions, B2B meetings, round-table discussions apart from the conventional plenary sessions, featured symposia, break out sessions and oral presentation sessions for abstracts and challenging cases. In addition, the Indian Physicians Congress - 2020 will feature live cases and interventional courses in an interactive format throughout the conference. Our endeavor is to provide a stimulating and thought provoking scientific program. We sincerely hope that the blend of pleasant weather, warm hospitality and revitalizing social evenings will make the scientific environment richer.

At least half of the world’s population cannot obtain essential health services, according to a new report from the World Bank and WHO. And each year, large numbers of households are being pushed into poverty because they must pay for health care out of their own pockets. Currently, 800 million people spend at least 10 percent of their household budgets on health expenses for themselves, a sick child or other family member. For almost 100 million people these expenses are high enough to push them into extreme poverty, forcing them to survive on just $1.90 or less a day.In addition to being an excellent forum for information sharing, it will also provide a good opportunity to connect with people working in the field of Cardiology, Diabetes, Oncology, Neurology, Nephrology etc. in the region. We guarantee that you will find this congress stimulating and enriching.

Centrally located in the Asia Pacific region, Bangalore is one of the most visited cities, blessed not only with the best meeting facilities but also with cultural, historical and indigenous, attractions, varied shopping opportunities, etc. We are confident that you will have a memorable time and enjoy your stay in Bangalore besides the scientific experience.

We would like to encourage you to participate in this most prestigious event. It is only with your contribution that we can ensure the success of IPC 2020. We look forward to the honor of welcoming you in Bangalore.
