Admissions are based on GATE score and the recruitment is Institute dependent
GATE qualification is mandatory to avail the Government scholarships

After evaluation of the answers, the raw marks obtained by a candidate are converted to a normalized GATE Score.
GATE 2017 results will be announced on March 27, 2017 at 17:00 hours and will be available on the GATE Online Application Website.
GATE 2017 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of the results.

Application and Admit Card Process All information related to the candidates is available in a single GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
Candidates have to register and fill the application via ONLINE mode ONLY.
The photograph, signature, thumb impression, qualifying degree certificate, and category certificate (SC/ST/PwD) wherever applicable, must be uploaded during the online application.
Candidates shall be required to enter the Passport no. specified number in their identification card of any one of Passport, College ID, Employee identification or Driving License/Govt. issued ID proof.
Photo Identification is also done based on above ID proofs.
NO candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination hall after 30 minutes of the start of the examination.
