Two major factors affect the choice of instruments for root canal preparation: its ability to achieve the root canal shaping and its safety. The file accuracy is linked to its resistance to fracture, its lack of threading in dentinal walls when used in continuous rotary motion and its ability to respect the initial canal path in curved canals. The original canal anatomy must be maintained. Most of these factors depend on the profile of the instrument and on the design of its active part.

Some Dentists still believe that it (Aesthetic or Cosmetic Dentistry) is a 'violation of the Hippocratic Oath' to disturb 'Healthy' tooth structure, even if the patient is unhappy with their esthetics, and that we should 'talk them out of elective treatment'. 1 There are some in our profession, however, that view elective dental procedures as “unethical” and “unnecessary.” Who really should decide when such treatment is justified? How wide must the diastema be, or how unaesthetic the smile? In this modern era of Dentistry, we now have the responsibility to not only diagnose and treat dental disease, but to offer solutions for cosmetic dental problem as well. Remember its only a “good tooth” if the patient is happy. As a profession we must remember, we treat not only teeth, but also the person to which they belong.

The dental rehabilitation of partially or totally edentulous patients with osseointegrated oral implants is nowadays one of the most successful methods to restore oral esthetics and function, with predictable results. Unfavorable local conditions due to atrophy, trauma, and periodontal disease, may result in insufficient bone volume or an unfavorable interarch relationship, which will not allow the correct and Prosthodontically guided positioning of dental implants. More and more the treatment strategies should be oriented towards reduced time of treatment and early function. The patients are looking for fast tracking solutions with immediate function. Multiple treatment levels including bone and soft tissue augmentation should be minimized.

This lecture will demonstrate how to simplify the entire management.

Earlier three dimensional implant treatment planning, surgical phase and restoration were done separately,but now with integrated implantology digital work flow bringing all together and making it possible not only planning but makes surgical guides and restoration in one single workflow. we starts planning with the end in mind and that is how planning works ,so starting with optical scan and CBCT scan and then integrating both to plan surgical and prosthetic phases simultaneously .once digital planning phase done we transfer data to CAM i.eCerec or McX5 milling machine fabricating surgical guide and restorations. Surgical guide ensure precise placement of implant in planned orientation and same day possible to restore it too. Success of dental implant restoration depends upon proper pre-treatment prostheticplanning prevents prosthetic problems later and digital workflow of integrated implantology ensures that.

SYNOPSIS :We all see kids in our practice on a weekly basis but many a times are hesitant to handle and treat kids in the dental set up. This could either be because of their behaviour on the dental chair or sometimes due to the lack of appropriate training. Many a times we feel the need to treat kids using pharmacological means and thereby feel the need to refer the kids to the Pediatric Dentist. At the end of my topic today I hope to be able to help every busy private practitioner to treat kids for regular dental procedures; diagnose common issues and manage basic behaviour too. I hope to also enlighten the audience on the need of Pharmacological management and referrals to the Pediatric Dentist.
