The following pages are a guide to completing the India visa application for the Alliance for Global Education’s program in Pune.

The India visa application must be completed online, then printed and signed, using a black or blue pen. Information specific to this program has been listed in BLUE in the following pages.

This is the opening screen of the India visa application form. Travisa recommends using Firefox or Internet Explorer to complete the application.

1. Select your Jurisdiction here. If you are unsure of your jurisdiction, please refer to the Travisa website.

2. Name must match your passport exactly.

3. Be sure to enter dates in the proper format, DAY/MONTH/YEAR.

4. US citizens and residents do not have a National ID number, enter NA here.

5. Place of issue should match what is listed under “Authority” on your Passport.

1. The Present Address must match your Proof of Address. It cannot be a PO Box.

2. If you have a different Permanent Address, you can opt to list it here. Jurisdiction and Proof of Address are both based on your Present Address, not your Permanent Address.

3. If either of your parents were born in a country bordering India, or in the Middle East, you may be required to provide additional documents. Please contact Travisa is this applies to you.

4. If married, provide spousal information here.

5. If you answer “Yes” to this question, your grandparents were Pakistani Nationals; you will need to provide additional documents. Please notify the Alliance for Global Education if this applies to you.

6. If your present occupation is Housewife, Student, or Minor, you will be asked to list employer information for a spouse or parent.

13. If you have visited India in the past, list your previous visa and travel information here, if possible. If you do not remember, “DO NOT REMEMBER” and “UNKNOWN” are acceptable answers.

14. List all the countries you’ve visited in the past 10 years, to the best of your ability.

15. SAARC countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. If you answer “Yes” here, you may be asked to provide details of the visit.

18. Uploading a photo here is optional. If you do upload a digital photo you will still be responsible for submitting a physical photo with your application, or having Travisa print a photo on your behalf, which is done through Travisa’s Global Service Order Form.
