disciplines which originated in ancient India– It helps one connect with Nature and Self – Teaches the importance of simple things in life– It’s a celebration of meditation and introspection

Mahatma Gandhi : The Power of Non-Violence

• Revered the world over for his nonviolent philosophy of passive resistance, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi – He is called the “Father of the Indian Nation” also called Bapu– He was given the title of “Mahatma“, which implies “Great Soul“. He always expressed

hope – He guided his fellow citizens to struggle for freedom, not by using weapons, but by ahimsa

(non-violence), peace (Shanti) and truth (Satya)

Taj Mahal : The power of Love

• The Taj Mahal is a tomb built in the 17th century by the Mughal king Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. She was his 3rd wife. Eventually, Shah Jahan was entombed in the Taj Mahal with his wife. The building is in the city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh – Now this monument symbolizes Love – The monument was built using Persian and Mughal Architecture– It is estimated to have taken more than 22,000 people and 17 years to to build this impressive

building including laborers, painters, stonecutters, embroidery artists, and many others

Indian Food : Power of taste • With all its exotic ingredients, unfamiliar dishes, and tongue-tingling

flavors, Indian cuisine can be both exciting and intimidating– There are a basic 20 to 30 spices and there are infinite ways of using them– Indian cuisine has an added bonus for vegetarians with unlimited options– Right from breakfast to dinner, there are various kinds Indian breads that can spruce up ones

regular meal time eg Naan

Bollywood : The Power of Dance, Music and Emotions

• Indian cinema dates all the way back to 1913 and the silent film Raja Harishchandra, the first-ever Indian feature film– Bollywood dance is the dance-form used in the Indian

films. It is a mixture of numerous styles. – Bollywood music is an utmost requirement in our

movies to convey our feelings (mostly mixed with some dance)
