1. ADMISSION INSTRUCTIONS (GENERAL)

1.1 Application forms for all programs in all categories of admission are available at

www.getadmissions.com/jaypee to apply online and at the admission counter of all Jaypee

Universities to apply off-line. Application forms can also be obtained by post by sending a

demand draft to “Admission Cell, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, A-10, Sector-62,

Noida, U. P.”

1.2 Candidates who procure the application form after payment of application fee are not required

to make any further payment while submitting the application form.

1.3 If a candidate is applying under JEE (Main) 2020 category and also wants to apply under NRI

Category/ 10+2 marks based admission to B Tech in Bioinformatics/ B Tech or Integrated M Tech

Biotechnology programs, the candidate must apply separately by paying the required application

fee.

1.4 Applications received after last date of submission will not be accepted and candidates shall have

no claim on the merit list and subsequent admission to the program.

1.5 Hosting of the Application Forms on the websites of the Universities shall be done in a phased

manner. Therefore the candidates are required to check the websites of the Universities for the

latest updates, and also take necessary action as per the information hosted on the websites.

1.6 Display of Application Status: Candidates shall generally be able to see the receipt details of their

applications and essential data on the website only after 15-20 days of submission of the

Application form. Non receipt of Application forms in the admission cell is the sole responsibility

of the candidate.

1.7 Candidates are also advised to keep with them the original receipt of the Speed Post/ Registered

Post issued by the post office and photocopy of the filled-in Application Form. In any case, all

issues regarding non receipt of Application form in the admission cell must be resolved before

declaration of merit list. No appeals thereafter will be entertained.

2.2 The Application fee can be paid in any of the following modes:

(i) Online at www.getadmissions.com/jaypee through internet banking/ debit card / credit

(ii) Through Demand Draft in favour of “Jaypee Institutes Admission Account” payable at

Noida/ Delhi.

(iii) By cash/ card at the admission counters of all Jaypee Universities.

3. GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

3.1 B Tech and Integrated M Tech Programs :

3.1.1 Candidates’ date of birth as recorded in the High School / Secondary Education Board

Certificate should fall on or after October 01, 1999.

3.1.2 The candidate should have passed or appeared in 10+2 examination or its equivalent

(as defined in JEE (Main) 2020 examination) with Physics and Mathematics as

compulsory subjects and any one out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer

Science, Information Practices, Multimedia and Web Technology, Engineering

Drawing, Engineering Graphics, Information Technology, Technical Vocation subjects,

Agriculture, Business Studies and English as optional subjects.

Candidates appearing in 10+2 examination in the year 2020 can also apply for

admission. Such candidates will have to submit their 10+2 result by 30 September

2020.

For 10+2 marks based admissions, candidates should have minimum of 60% marks in

aggregate in 10+2 or its equivalent examination.

3.1.3 10+2 marks based Non-JEE Candidates for admission in Biotechnology/

Bioinformatics

The candidate should have minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 or its

equivalent examination with Physics & Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory

subjects and any two subjects out of Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Informatics

Practices, Multimedia & Web Technology, Engineering Drawing, Engineering

Graphics, Information Technology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture,

Business Studies, Mathematics and English. However, merit shall be drawn on the

basis of marks of four subjects considering Physics and Biotechnology /

Bioinformatics as compulsory subjects and any other two subjects having higher

marks

3.2 BBA Program – 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized educational board with

minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.

3.3 M Sc Program in Physics, Mathematics , Statistics and Chemistry - B.Sc. (Hons.)/ B.Sc. under

10+2+3 pattern securing the minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade point

on a 10 point scale in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc.

course). Subject in which admission is sought must be the Hons. subject at B.Sc. (Hons.) Level / a

subject studied in all three years at graduate level.

3.4 M Sc Program in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Biotechnology, and

Bioinformatics - B.Sc. (General) or B.Sc. (Hons) or an equivalent Undergraduate Degree in any

branch of Life Sciences/ Medical Sciences/ any branch of Biology under 10+2+3 pattern securing

the minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade point on a 10 point scale in the

aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc. course).

3.5 M Sc Program in Quantitative Economics - Three-year Bachelor’s degree in

Economics/Mathematics/Statistics or a B Stat degree, or a BE/B Tech degree with knowledge of

Economics and Mathematics at the undergraduate level.

3.6 Candidates must produce certificate of proof of the above conditions at the time of counselling

failing which they will be disqualified for admissions.

3.7 All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce proof of having

passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to the University authorities latest by

September 30, 2020 failing which, such provisional admission will stand automatically cancelled.

If the results of qualifying examinations are likely to be declared after September 30, 2020, the

candidates are advised to seek admission next year. No representation for extension of dates, for

whatsoever reasons, shall be entertained.

3.8 All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of

the candidates. If an applicant is found ineligible at a later stage after admission to the

University, his/her admission will stand automatically cancelled. The decision of the Admissions

Committee of the University regarding the eligibility for admission to the program shall be final

and binding on the candidate.

3.9 Ensuring eligibility for the admission to the program, under the defined category of admission, is

the sole responsibility of the candidate.

3.10 Candidates appearing in qualifying examinations prescribed above in the year 2020 can also

apply for admission. However, only after submitting the result and marks of qualifying

examination (if admission is marks based) merit for admission will be prepared.

4. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP APPLICATION FORM

4.1 Application form for admission can be submitted ONLINE as well as OFFLINE.

4.2 For Online Application using Net banking / Credit Card / Debit Card:

4.2.1 Log on to www.jiit.ac.in or www.juit.ac.in or www.juet.ac.in and click on – JEE Based

Admissions 2020 or directly log on to www.getadmissions.com/jaypee (authorized

agency for online application).

4.2.2 Thereafter, follow the on-screen prompts to fill up the application form and make the

payment through Credit/ Debit card/ Net banking.

4.2.3 Once the payment has been successfully made, the candidate shall be allotted an

Application ID number, which must be preserved for future reference. The candidate

shall also get an e-mail of confirmation.

4.2.4 In the Online application process of submission of application form, there is an option of

attaching/ uploading the photograph and signature of the candidate and the parent.

Candidates should upload the signatures and recent passport size photograph

accordingly.

4.2.5 Take a print out of the application form and send the same to the Admission Cell, JIIT,

Noida by post. In case you are not able to upload the photograph, then you should affix

recent colored passport size photograph on the printout, put your signature, enclose

required documents and then send it to the Registrar, JIIT, A-10, Sector-62, Noida-201

309 well within the stipulated time so as to reach the same on or before last date of

receiving the Application Form.

4.2.6 Do not send the Application without Application ID number which would have been

generated automatically on freezing of the online application form.

4.2.7 You may retain a photocopy of the same for your future records.

4.2.8 Superscribe “ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM” on the envelope before posting the same.

4.2.9 If payment of application fee is to be made through Demand Draft:

▪ Submit the application form on-line

▪ Take a print out of application form and attach the Demand Draft with it made

in favour of “Jaypee Institutes Admission Account” payable at Noida/ Delhi.

▪ Send the same by post to Admission Cell, JIIT, A-10, Sector-62, Noida-201 309

4.3 For Offline Application forms purchased from Admission Counter,

4.3.1 Fill-in the Application Form neatly without any cut/over writing with black/blue pen.

4.3.2 Fill-in all fields given in the application form and attach a photograph.

4.3.3 For JEE (Main) 2020 based admission, JEE application number and JEE Roll number

should be filled at appropriate places in the form.

4.3.4 Send the filled-in application form on the address given below before last date of

receiving the application.

4.3.5 Retain a photocopy of the filled-in application form for your reference.

5. RESERVATION OF SEATS

5.1 Reservation for SC/ST candidates will be as per the provisions of GOI. The cut-off rank for JEE (Main)

2020 based admission will be 10% below the JEE (Main) All India cut-off rank as determined for the

candidates in General category.

5.2 For admissions in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs, 50% seats shall be filled on the basis

of JEE (Main) 2020 All India Rank and 50% seats shall be filled on the basis of 10+2 marks with

Biology/ Biotechnology & Physics as core subjects in 10+2 examination.

5.3 For JUET, Guna, 50% seats shall be allotted through JEE (Main) 2020 All India Rank. Remaining 50%

seats shall be filled through counselling on the basis of merit drawn based on marks of 10+2

examination.

5.4 For JIIT, Noida and JUIT, Waknaghat, 80% seats shall be allotted through JEE (Main) 2020 All India

Rank. Remaining 20% seats shall be filled through Counselling based on merit, drawn on the basis of

marks of 10+2 examination.

5.5 10 seats of JIIT, Noida are reserved for J&K students under Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship

Scheme (PMSSS).

5.6 10% seats at JUIT, Waknaghat and JUET, Guna are reserved for wards of serving and retired Armed

Forces and Paramilitary Forces Personnel. 30% concession in Tuition Fee for wards of serving and

retired Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces Personnel will be provided. Additional 5%

concession (i.e. 35%) in Tuition Fee will be provided for wards of War Widows and personnel killed

in action.

5.7 10% seats at JUIT, Waknaghat are reserved for Himachal Pradesh (HP) category candidates only

subject to the condition that candidate has qualified the 10+2 examination from any of the schools/

institutions located in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

5.8 Reservation/ concession are available for the wards of Kashmiri Migrants/ Kashmiri Pandits/

Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir valley as per MHRD letter No. 3-4/2017-

NER dated October 15, 2019

5.9 All vacant seats are inter-transferable in either category i.e. JEE (Main) to 10+2 marks based and

vice-versa.

6. ADMISSION PROCEDURE – JEE (MAIN) 2020 RANK BASED B TECH AND

INTEGRATED M TECH ADMISSION

6.1 The merit list amongst the Applications received for admission to Jaypee Universities shall be drawn

only on the basis of All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2020 examination.

6.2 JEE Score/ Ranking in any category or state, including general etc., shall not be taken into account

for drawing merit.

6.3 TAKING THE ONLINE CHOICES FOR INSTITUTES/ BRANCHES - The candidates who have already

applied for the admission under JEE (Main) 2020 category, will be given an online link, through e-

mail. Candidates will have to fill the choices given in the Choice Form as per their order of priority.

The candidates, who do not submit their choices, will not be eligible to participate in the online

counselling.

6.4 ONLINE COUNSELLING INTIMATION - Intimation for counselling shall be sent/made available in the

following ways :

6.4.1 Details including dates shall be uploaded on the websites of the Universities.

6.4.2 A written communication shall be communicated through e-mail. Thus all candidates must

mention their e-mail IDs correctly while filling the Application Form.

6.4.3 The merit wise counselling slots will be communicated to the candidates, whose Applications

are found valid in all respect. Candidates are advised to visit the University websites regularly

and keep themselves updated with the announcements made in this regard.

6.4.4 Ignorance / lapses, if any, in participating in the allotted counselling slot shall not be accepted

as an excuse to participate in counselling at a later date.

6.4.5 Candidates whose names appear on the counselling schedule displayed on the website, but

who do not receive the written communication for admission must contact Registrars of

respective universities at mail IDs: [email protected] or [email protected]

6.5 ONLINE COUNSELLING

6.5.1 A Combined Online counselling for JIIT, Noida, JUIT, Waknaghat and JUET, Guna shall be held

where candidates can take admission in any of the three Universities depending on the

vacancy and his/ her merit drawn on the basis of JEE (Main) 2020 All India Rank.

6.5.2 There shall be a window of three working days to register for counselling. A Counselling Fee of

Rs. 15000/- will be required to be deposited during the registration and the same shall be

adjusted against final fee.

6.5.3 All registered candidates will be allotted confirmed seats or waitlist seats as per their JEE

(Main) 2020 AIR and their exercised choices. Based on the choices received, seats will be

allotted strictly in order of merit drawn from JEE (Main) 2020 AIR. Following will be the process

of allotment of confirmed and waitlisted seats:

(a) The candidate allotted their 1st choice, will not be waitlisted for their other choices.

(b) A candidate allotted a confirmed seat of his lower priority of choices, will automatically

be considered as waitlisted for their higher priority of choices.

(c) Those registered candidates who could not be allotted any confirmed seats based on

their choices will be waitlisted for all the choices exercised by them.

(d) The candidate falling under category (a), (b) and (c) above will be informed through e-

mail/SMS about their allotted Institute/ Branch and status of seat allotment after first

round of counselling is complete. They will have to confirm the allotment of confirmed

seat/ waitlist status by paying Rs. 35000/- as partial Tuition Fee.

(e) The option for opting for hostel facility (if available) for the candidates who have been

allotted a confirmed seat, will also be available, which can be confirmed after paying Rs.

50000/- against partial hostel charges.

6.5.4 After confirmation of allotment, candidates will get Provisional Admission Letter and Fee receipt.

6.5.5 The registered candidates who do not confirm their allotted seats/ waitlist position after first counselling on or before the due date by paying the requisite amount, will be considered for next round of counselling, strictly as per availability of seats and their exercised choices.

6.5.6 Based on the Merit of JEE (Main) 2020 AIR and availability of seats/ vacancy, candidates will be

upgraded to their higher priority of choices, till the counselling process is over. After the

completion of counselling process, candidate will have the option of further up-gradation only

in the finally allocated University.

6.5.7 After completion of Counselling process, Inter University up-gradation will not be permitted.

6.6 The candidates shall have the option of freezing confirmed seats allotted to them any time before

up-gradation is carried out, if they do not want further up-gradation.

7. ADMISSION PROCEDURE – 10+2 MARKS BASED B TECH AND INTEGRATED

M TECH ADMISSION UNDER NRI CATEGORY

7.1 The merit shall be drawn, amongst the applications received under NRI category, based on the

marks obtained in four subjects in 10+2 as given in Section 3 under General Eligibility Criteria.

7.2 Candidates will be allotted seats strictly in order of merit. Selected candidates will be offered

provisional admission, subject to production of certificates of eligibility qualification and

deposition of Institutional fee. The selected candidates will be informed about the allotted seats

along with other relevant information through e-mails. The candidate must therefore give their

correct primary email ID for faster processing.

7.3 Candidates granted admission under this category can’t opt for change to General/ Non-NRI

category in subsequent years during entire program duration. However, students can apply for

both categories NRI / NRI Sponsored as well as JEE (Main) 2020 based admission by filling

separate application forms as applicable.

7.4 Separate Application Forms should be filled for JIIT, Noida, JUIT, Waknaghat and JUET, Guna.

7.5 Those who have already passed 10+2 examination should fill 10+2 marks in the application form

and attach a photocopy of the marks sheet.

7.6 Candidates appearing in 10+2 examination of year 2020 should submit their results by the due

date which will be notified to the candidates through e-mail/ sms and websites of the

Universities. Candidates who fail to submit their 10+2 mark sheet before the due date will not

be considered for admission.

7.7 All candidates should compulsorily attach Sponsorship Letter from NRI or NRI certificate, as the

case may be, along with the application form.

7.8 The completed Application Form must be sent to the respective Universities on the addresses

given in brochure. On the top of the envelope, please mention ‘Application under NRI/ NRI

Sponsored Category”

7.9 Each University shall prepare merit list separately and intimate to the candidates by e-mail/ sms.

8. ADMISSION PROCEDURE - 10+2 MARKS BASED B TECH IN

BIOINFORMATICS AND B TECH AND INTEGRATED M TECH ADMISSION IN

BIOTECHNOLOGY

8.1 B Tech and Integrated M Tech in Biotechnology program is offered at JIIT, Noida

8.2 B Tech in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics program is offered at JUIT, Waknaghat.

8.3 A candidate with Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology with Physics at 10+2 level can apply for

both the options i.e, under JEE category and under 10+2 marks based admissions for

Biotechnology / Bioinformatics, but must fill up separate Application Forms meant for different

categories. It means separate applications for JEE category and 10+2 marks based admissions.

However, application fee shall be charged only for one.

8.4 Candidates need to fill separate application forms to JIIT Noida and/or JUIT Waknaghat.

8.5 Those who have already passed 10+2 examination should fill the marks obtained in application

form and attach a photocopy of the marks sheet.

8.6 Candidates appearing in 10+2 examination of year 2020 should submit their results by the due

date which will be notified to the candidates through e-mail / sms and websites of the

Universities. Candidates who fail to submit their 10+2 mark sheet before the due date will not be

considered for admission.

8.7 In case of applying to both the Universities the candidate should attach the original demand draft

with the Application Form/print out of the online Application of JIIT, Noida and photocopy of DD

with Application Form/ Print out of JUIT, Waknaghat.

8.8 In case applying for admission at JIIT, Noida only, the original Draft should be attached with the

Application Form of JIIT, Noida only.

8.9 In case applying to JUIT, Waknaghat only, the original demand draft should be attached with the

Application Form of JUIT, Waknaghat. However the draft should be made in favour of “Jaypee

Institutes Admission Account” payable at Noida/ Delhi.

8.10 ALLOCATION OF SEATS

8.10.1 A merit list will be prepared by each university based on the marks of 10+2.

8.10.2 Candidates will be offered seats strictly in order of merit. Candidates will be informed by

9. ADMISSION PROCEDURE - 10+2 MARKS BASED B TECH ADMISSION AT JIIT,

NOIDA, JUIT, WAKNAGHAT AND JUET, GUNA

9.1 A separate application form must be filled by the students seeking admission on the basis of

10+2 marks as well as through JEE (Main) 2020. However, no additional application fee is needed

if the student has already applied under JEE (Mains) 2020 category.

9.2 Admission Process for JIIT:

9.2.1 For JIIT, Noida, the merit shall be drawn, amongst the applications received under 10+2

marks based admission, based on the marks obtained in three subjects in 10+2 as given

in Section 3 under General Eligibility Criteria.

9.2.2 Candidates will be allotted seats strictly in order of merit and the priority of choices

given. Selected candidates will be offered provisional admission, subject to production of

certificates of eligibility qualification and deposition of Institutional fee. The selected

candidates will be informed about the allotted seats along with other relevant

information through e-mails.

9.3 Counselling Process

9.3.1 JUIT, Waknaghat and JUET, Guna will hold separate counselling for 10+2 candidates at

their respective Universities on the scheduled dates mentioned above at Admission

Calendar 2020. Any change in the same will be notified for the information of the

candidates well in time by the respective Universities.

9.3.2 Candidates, who are called for counselling, must go through counselling/admission

instructions carefully regarding filling up of choices of programs as seats to the

programme will be offered purely on the choices made by the candidate.

9.4 Allocation of Seats

Seats in the programs of study shall be allotted on the basis of preferences indicated at the time

of counselling, strictly in order of merit drawn based on 10+2 marks.

10. ADMISSION PROCEDURE – BBA PROGRAM

10.1 Admission will be based on the merit drawn on the basis of aggregate percentage of marks

obtained in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

10.2 Candidate meeting the admission criteria will be offered the seat in the program. Candidate

offered seat will have to report to the University on the date informed through e-mail, failing

which their claim for admission will be cancelled.

11. ADMISSION PROCEDURE – M Sc PROGRAM

11.1 Separate Application Forms should be filled for JIIT, Noida, JUIT, Waknaghat and JUET , Guna.

11.2 Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination should provide marks of the qualifying

examination in the application form and attach a photocopy of the marks sheet.

11.3 Candidates appearing in qualifying examination 2020 for admission can also apply. However,

they will be required to submit results of qualifying examination before a due date which will

be notified by e-mail. Those who fail to submit results by the due date will not be considered

for admission in the program.

11.4 The Application Form completed in all respect should be sent to the respective Universities on

the addresses given in the brochure.

11.5 Selection Process

A merit will be drawn, on the basis of marks of qualifying examination results. Selected

candidates will be offered provisional admission subject to production of eligibility certificates

and deposition of Academic fee.

13. REFUND POLICY

Last Date of admission is 30 September 2020. If a student leaves the program, fee shall be refunded as

per UGC D.O.Letter No. 1-3/ 2007 (CPP-II) dated 02 November 2018 as below:

Refund of Hostel Charges:

i. Till the date of Registration in program, a candidate is entitled for full refund of advance of Hostel charges,

provided the student does not occupy the Hostel in advance.

ii. From the date of Registration in the program, the amount shall be refunded on pro-rata monthly basis, even if

student has not occupied the Hostel or not taken the key to the room.

iii. For calculation of pro-rata deduction/refund, Semester shall be counted of 5 months duration (the Hostel

charges are applicable for 5 months only) and deduction shall be made on per month basis, even if hostel is

occupied for part of a month i.e. even for a single day only.

Refund after reporting at the allotted University is subject to submission of No Dues Clearance

14. PETTY CHARGES

For petty charges in respect of issue of Transcripts/Duplicate Grade Sheets/Certificates etc, refer to

individual University website.

15. RAGGING

Ragging in any form is banned inside and outside the campus. Strict action is taken against persons

flouting this rule; no leniency is shown. Please note that ragging is a criminal offence and punishable act.

The Supreme Court of India has also defined ragging as a criminal offence.
