Los objectos indirectosThe direct object is the nounor pronoun that the verb actsdirectly on. The indirect object is the

Escribo el mensaje a mi jefe .

The message is what was written/influencedby/acted on by the verb.

My boss was eventually involved, but the verbdidnt directly affect or contact him.

Indirect object pronounsThese generally translate to to a person or for a person

me me, to me, forme

te to/for you

le to you/Usted, tohim, to her (for Ud.,him her)

nos to/for us

les to/for ustedes (Uds.), to/forthem

Like the direct object pronouns, these go directlybefore conjugated verbs.With compound verbs, they go before the entireverb or after and attached to the last word (theinfinitive).

Nos gusta comer. When you talk about what you like to DO, you usethe infinitive form of the verb, and and its singular,even if its more than one action.

Le gusta bailar. To whom does LE refer?

Sometimes its necessary to be redundant. So youll have the pronoun AND the name of the person that the pronoun replaces.

Youll need the personal A, the persons name and the indirectobject pronoun. The word order is flexible.
