Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give…

It was a difficult task to task trying to motivate the children to ‘let themselves go’ and ‘loosen themselves’.

“The smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention”This session was not about painting…it was introducing them to fun of learning. .teamwork.. pride in work. .and that ‘ I CAN “

“Our idea of education is to unsettle the minds of the young and inflame their intellects…”

Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance. ”

Our students are explaining to the village school students, how to detect common adulterants in daily used food items.

Page 14: Ind eng-565-ppt

All our students enthusiastically brought old newspapers, books and old magazines. The money from the sale, was used to buy steel plates.

Page 15: Ind eng-565-ppt

It was very clear … “Go the extra mile. It's never crowded. ”

We experienced the miracle that: “the more we share the more we have …..and last but not the least…….we have understood how fortunate we are and at time we take all that we have for granted without being grateful for it.….So…

How do you say "thank you" for sunshine or health...for clear days or gentle rains...for happiness, joy or love? You say it by sharing what you have. You say it by making the world a better place in which to live.“

We understood….There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life -- happiness, freedom, and peace of mind -- are always attained by giving them to someone else.“

Page 16: Ind eng-565-ppt

As a person who was very closely associated with this project…there is one picture which is imprinted on my mind forever (which I saw on the very first day) …. On one side our children entering the village School.. and this special child sitting on the WALL on the other side…..The task of transforming INDIA is huge….and bridging the GAP between the “two INDIAS” is difficult…..but the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step…..that step has been taken…and now WE can only move forward…..

The Team: Students of classes VII & VIII..all our Staff Members….Administrative Staff..Project Coordinator: Rashmi Misra..and ….Our team leader..our Principal Ms. Nirupama Kapoor.

We touched the lives of 200 children of the Village School at Kesrol..

The team of about 60 children to conduct activities…The entire School..of about 1350 involved …In collecting old newspaper , mobilizing financial and material help from parents,Organizing, collecting, distribution etc. of this huge task in a short span of a WEEK.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

“ Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got , but they need our hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go. “ This i s what we learnt…

We ourselves fee l that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But

the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
