An effort to help

the visually challenged students of Blind Boys Institute

FEEL

As the Story Goes…

Everyday when we stepped out of our school, we usually found the blind students of neighboring Blind Boys Institute holding shoulders of one another passing by…

They were deprived of the most precious gift of

God i.e. EYESIGHT

We thought and thought and thought…

And a question arised,

Can we bring about a change in their situation and help them in some way?

And the Answer was …

YES, WE CAN!!!

This developed aSTRONG URGE

within us to help them out in

some way which led us to know their immediate

requirement of EDUCATIONAL TOYS

These educational toys would enhance their understanding by

TOUCH and hence the title of our project…

“SPARSH PRABODHAN”

We contacted The Headmistress of Blind Boys’ Institute and expressed our wish to help the visually challenged.

We were acquainted by the authorities regarding the immediate requirements. To name a few…

Final Solution – Action plan and Implementation:

In order to realize this dream we decided to harness the boundless talent from our school through a charity show,

‘TALENT EXTRAVAGANZA’

’Learning by doing’ being our motto, we plunged

ourselves by all our heart and soul to

execute this idea. This involved approaching

sponsorers for printing of tickets, arranging light and sound,

material for preparing backdrop, setting up of stage, video shooting

and photographs.

Arranging the sponsorers helped us utilize the entire funds collected for buying of educational

toys for the Blind Boys Institute. And the journey began…

Day I – Press release,Sale of Tickets for Show on 28th September, Audition.

Day II – Rehearsal, Sale of Tickets for Show on 29th September

Noteworthy Change Observed –

The smiling faces of the visually challenged on using the educational toys gave us our reward. We could realize

that we were able to change the regular pattern of teaching – learning into fun loving and cherishable

experience.

EYE opening moment:

The journey does not end but it goes on…

The bonds have

become stronger

and stronger which has inspired us to pledge

to donate eyes

as we fulfill the age criteria.

OUR MESSAGE CAN BE BEST CONVEYED THROUGH FAMOUS LINES OF THE BHAJAN,

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, THERE ARE MILLIONS OF OTHERS WHO ARE AWAITING A CHANGE IN THEIR LIVES. HOPE WE BECOME

INSTRUMENTAL IN BRINGING THIS CHANGE AND MAKE THEIR LIVES BETTER.
