sion leading into the glacial world and UNESCO World Heritage site. This is

the «must do» when visiting Switzerland.

schilthorn bond world 007 The longest cable car ride in Switzerland has a stunning vertical rise from

deep in the valley all the way to the summit. Its rotating restaurant gives the

best views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The Bond World 007 shows all

details about the film shooting of the James Bond Film: «On Her Majesties

Secret Service».

brienz rothorn steam trainThis unique steam powered mountain cog railway is a special excursion.

Lunch or dinner on the summit or in a picturesque restaurant on the halfway

station «Planalp» with local products. (May – October)

niesen funicular railwayThe «Pyramid» on Lake Thun is easily reached by the longest funicular and

has spectacular views (May – November).

It is here in the Bernese Oberland where Tourism was practically invented.

Already in the 19th century British tourists have enjoyed their summer

holidays at the various resort towns. The various mountain peaks were the

most beloved excursions. Later many mountain railways were built for

easier access. In 1922 Mürren was the location of the first downhill ski-race.

and museums and the great scenery are just a few of the reasons why the
