Only 500 permits per day means you must book as far in advance as possible.

Buy walking stick and hire sleeping bags locally.

You must provide passport details and a deposit to secure your permit.

A moderate level of fitness is required... It should be remembered, the Inca Trail is not a race and there are several breaks.

We only use the best guides, with years of experience and expert knowledge.

Regular breaks with your guide for information on a series of ruins, fauna, flora, drinks (which can be bought on the trail) and for lunch.

Peak season on the Inca Trail is June, July & August.

The rainy season is from December to early April but it is warmer at night and you will trek through the cloud forest! The trail closes completely in February.

Awake to stunning scenery! Camp Sites have basic toilets & facilities. Some have showers and smalls shops where snacks & drinks (including alcoholic) can be bought.

Porters carry up to 5kgs for each person.

Altitude can have an effect on some people. It can cause breathlessness and mild headaches but these can be easily remedied. Stop for a rest and take deep breaths. It is also essential to drink lots of water & apply sun-protection cream regularly.

Porters also carry a supply of oxygen for emergencies.
