Irvine Police Chief Brad Smith arrested 29 year old Christy Henry of Blanche Court on multiple charges. The chief said that he had received numerous com- plaints on Henry and had observed suspicious actions by her. Smith said it was be- lieved that while court was in session, Henry was attempt- ing to pass contraband to an inmate, Steven Henry. The chief stated that after Christy attempted to make contact with Steven several times, a bag of tobacco was noticed in her pocket. The chief added that a pill bottle was found on Christy when she was searched. He said inside the pill bottle were six xanax bars, three suboxone, 14 clonzerpam (valium) and 11 oxymoro- phone pills (a schedule 2, controlled substance). Smith said that during the search a bag was found that contained a transparent rock type substance. The police chief tested a sample of the transparent rock substance for cocaine, heroin, and mepthamphet- amine. He said it tested posi- tive for methamphetamine and negative for cocaine and heroin. The suspected meth- amphetamine weighed 6.8 grams. Christy was charged with possession of a controlled substance, in first, second, and third degrees (drug un- specified on all three degrees) and promoting contraband. After the rock substance was tested, Christy was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first (methamphetamine) and prescription controlled sub- stances not in proper con- tainer. The relationship between Christy Henry and Steven Henry is unknown. She gave her marital status as married in court records. Bail for Christy has been set at $50,000 cash. Court records state that Christy was arrested on a new offense while a case was sitll pending. IPD say they seized pills, transparent rock substance, and a bag of tobacco from Christy Henry.
