To run the AXIS samples or any client application developed with AXIS, you need AXIS 1.4. You can findAXIS libraries in $INFA_HOME/server/samples/WebServices/lib/axis-1.4.

Upgrading Informatica Developer

When you upgrade Informatica Developer and you have Data Transformation Studio 9.1.0 installed on anexisting version of Eclipse, the installer does not update the path in the Eclipse plug-in file to the new DataTransformation Studio 9.5.0 installation directory.

After you upgrade Informatica Developer, go to the directory <EclipseDir>/links, open the plug-in filecom.itemfield.cm.studio.link in a text editor, and set the following path:

Upgrading to the Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5

When you install the Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5 on a machine with an earlier version ofInformatica Developer, the driver does not work.

To configure the Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5 to work with previous versions of InformaticaDeveloper, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.

Upgrading Profile and Scorecard Jobs

After you upgrade from version 9.0.1 or 9.1.0 to version 9.5.0, copy the profile log files from the 9.0.1 or 9.1.0install directory to the 9.5.0 <Installation_Directory>\tomcat\bin\disLogs\profiling directory.

DataDirect SequeLink Connectivity in PowerCenter

Memory Requirements for Upgrade

Informatica 9.5.0 requires more memory than previous versions. The following table shows the change inmemory requirements between Informatica 9.5.0 and Informatica 8.6, 9.0.1, and 9.1.0 for sample domainconfigurations.

After the domain logs this message, the domain does not accept connections, the Administrator tool is inaccessible, and non-master gateway nodes stop running. However, existing Informatica client tool connections to the domain remain active.

295149 When the Content Management Service runs on Linux, it does not stop when you shut down the domain.

295092 In version 9.1.0 HF4, the domain logs display user, group, and privilege synchronization messages every five minutes.

293907 When you enable transport layer security for the domain, the Analyst Service writes multiple connection errors in the AnalystService logs.

The Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5 does not load with the driver manager in AIX systems.Workaround: Create a soft link from the libinfadsodbc.a file to the libinfadsodbc.so file. Use the libinfadsodbc.so file in theodbc.ini entries.

305851 You cannot cancel or abort a workflow when a Command task has spawned a new process that is still running.Workaround: Manually terminate the spawned process and then cancel or abort the workflow.

305824 The process to export an address validation mapping to PowerCenter raises errors in the following scenario:- The Address Validator transformation specifies more than one execution instance.- The Address Validator transformation uses one or more ports from the U.S. Specific group, and any port name exceeds 80

characters in length.Workaround: Export the mapping as an XML file, and edit the XML to ensure that the U.S. Specific port names contain fewerthan 80 characters. Save and import the XML file to PowerCenter.

305576 The Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5 does not work if Transport Layer Security is enabled in the Informatica domain.Workaround: Disable Transport Layer Security if you install the Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5.

305523 Show Query Plan runs continuously when you query an SQL data service that contains data quality transformations.

305455 Data object caching does not work on IBM DB2 for data objects that contain binary columns with precision that exceeds 256bytes. The Data Object Cache Manager creates empty tables in the cache database that cannot be used for storage.

305433 When you run a workflow on grid, the workflow does not perform load balancing in a Mapping task in the following scenario:- The workflow uses the exceptionLoadCount variable that the Mapping task writes as output.- The mapping runs on a worker node.

305047 The Administrator tool might become unresponsive if the domain fails over when the Administrator tool is not running on themaster gateway node.

304882 The Monitoring tab does not sort newly added jobs by start time when there are multiple jobs displayed in list view.Workaround: Manually sort the jobs based on the Start Time column.

304769 An ODBC DSN failure occurs when business intelligence tools try to consume the Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5,if the driver was installed as part of the Informatica server installation.Workaround: Install the Informatica Data Services ODBC Driver 9.5 as a stand-alone, and add the services/shared/bin driverinstallation path to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

303977 When you create a Data Integration Service using the infacmd dis CreateService command, you cannot set the HTTP protocoltype to HTTPS or Both.Workaround: Use the infacmd dis CreateService command to create the Data Integration Service. Then, use the infacmd disUpdateServiceOptions command to set the HTTP protocol type to HTTPS or Both.

303975 If you upgrade to version 9.5.0 and start the Data Integration Service before you upgrade the Model Repository Service, theWorkflow Service Module does not properly initialize.Workaround: Restart the Data Integration Service after you upgrade the Model Repository Service.

303801 The Data Integration Service Process ignores the Storage Directory property for result set caches. Similarly, it ignores the"ResultSetCacheOptions.StorageDirectory" option when you run the infacmd dis UpdateServiceProcessOptions command.

303525 When you cancel a business intelligence tool connection to an SQL data service in Informatica Administrator, the businessintelligence tool shuts down unexpectedly.

299880 You cannot view users that are locked out of the domain in the Account Management tab of the Administrator tool when LDAPusers are being synchronized.Workaround: Refresh the browser page.

299741 When the Domain shuts down, the catalina.out log file contains multiple messages that are not valid for the shutdown. Themessages describe conditions that cause memory leaks. You can ignore these messages.

Verify that the ODBC.ini fileexists in the ODBC6.1 directory, which is specified in the $ODBCINI environment variable. And, verify that the ODBC.ini filecontains an entry for the ODBC connection that you are trying to test.

information when the data source is on a Sybase repository.- You cannot run PowerCenter dashboards when the data source is on IBM DB2 version 9.1.- You cannot launch lineage from Metadata Manager reports.

198719 The License Management Report PDF does not show Unicode characters in domain object names when the master gatewaynode runs on HP-UX.Workaround: Use the following procedure to add the Unicode font to the Administrator tool:1. Create a text file called AcUtil.properties and store it in the following installation directory:
